War wins a prize for being the only person to see past the illiteration and recognise the "Buh?" on the other side. I figured all great threads have illiterative titles.

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to Force Unleased. I put my pre-order down a couple of months ago, and I'll be picking up my copy on Friday. Ironically, Friday is my first day off in a while, and the game shop I have to collect it from is right next door to my work.

WoW's next expansion has a release date now, and it's much sooner than I was expecting. 13th November 2008. I'm putting in my pre-order when I collect SW:TFU. That gives me just under two months to fully level my enchanting, and get my druid into shape alongside my other two level 70s D:

Indeed, I still play on and off. Every server is like a new game. If you're not a graphics whore, you can enjoy this game for years.
My name on Tribes is "[ZTEAM]DizzyD". Favorite me.

This is the only reason I'm still subscribed at the moment, since I hardly have the time to play. Over the years I've been collecting little items and such on my rogue so that when I corpsecamp someone, I REALLY corpsecamp them. It serves to remind my victim that I really have pwned them entirely. I get the picnic umbrella and basket out, start a campfire, set out some foaming beers and a flame pedestal, possibly the occasional target dummy etc etc.

With brewfest, I can add a Brewfest Keg to my camping gear. Shweet.

This is why I ALWAYS use the spirit healer unless I'm on the Roleplaying servers. Spurning the corpecampers is worth the repair cost.

Laaaaaame. Makes no difference anyway. If a body despawns and I don't see it appear, I know it rezzed at the healer. It doesn't take long to get there. Plus, if the victim has annoyed me and I'm really determined, I log into a second account where I have access to the opposing side, check their location using "/who" and then go and get them anyway, wherever they are. If that means sneaking into the heart of Stormwind and murdering them in front of a crowd of 30 angry alliance + guards, then corpsecamping them in their own city, so be it. I'm a rogue, we can do that kind of thing and get away with it.

My personal favourite it just standing in the mage tower and killing anyone who portals through. Most of the people who come in through there are PvP enabled since they've come from other zones, and It's the last place they're expecting an ambush.

(I play horde, in case you hadn't guessed. World PvP is my thing.)

I'm still stuck on the Elder Scrolls games. I'm switching my time between Morrowind and Oblivion a lot. Once in awhile, I'll pop in a turn-based strategy game like Civilization 3, Galactic Civilizations 2, and Heroes of Might and Magic 4. If I want to kill indiscriminately, I still play UT2k4. What can I say? I've been stuck in the same gaming loop for several years now.

How's this for a blast from the past? I'm going to be renewing my subscription to Everquest next week. That's right, Everquest. It's the biggest game world in existence, it's empty of retarded kids who can't play, the graphics are now pretty comparable to WoW, thanks to the endless stream of patches and updates over the years, and Sony still releases new EQ material pretty regularly. That, and my brother has found all of his old roleplaying friends, and they've all taken up EQ because he's the leader of them, and he and I never jumped on the WoW bandwagon. So, when I get back online, I'll even have a motley group of fools to adventure with! Fun, I say.

The one on the DS is still just Hour of Darkness 'cept with a extra side story. What you should be excited about is Prinny

Hmm. I wonder if the anime is any good. I have my doubts.

Recently picked up Mercenaries 2. The AI is dodgy, there's a handful of non-game breaking glitches, the combat varies in difficulty from disgustingly easy to annoyingly difficult, and the story won't capture you in the very least. Haven't gotten very far yet though... But this is freaking Mercenaries. For a pyro like me, it's a near religious experience. YES!

I LOVE the PSP version. All I have left is the fight with Seraphim and I'm done with the main story. Too bad he's still like 15 levels higher than me, so I've got some levelling to do. I managed to get Flonne from level 9 to 62 in one day, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I thought I lost my PSP the other day. For those 30 minutes, I realized the full extent of Mao's pain. I have a second older PSP, and I run the game off the memory stick so I've got iso backups, but the DATA, all those hours possibly lost! I've been playing 3 also, but mostly just levelling up, and concentrating on the PSP version first. I will be buying the Prinny game as well.

I'm eagerly awaiting Lego Batman the Video Game

Until then I started playing Metroid Prime again, with the intention to play through all three metroid prime games again.

Also played Lego Indiana Jones recently, tons of fun.

Oddly I'm also trying to find some way that I can play the original Quake again, not sure why I suddenly felt the urge to play that again, other than it is awesome. Anyone know how I can play the original Quake on a Windows XP machine without the disk or anything?

No, it sucks triumphantly. For example, I don't even recall Etna being in the first episode, instead Flonne wakes Laharl moments before Gordon, Jennifer, and Thursday crash in to the castle, throwing cannon out the window in favor of introducing as many females as possible so as to maximize the amount of fan service they can fit into each episode.

It sucks.

I picked up the Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed today. And it. Is. Awesome.
From what the reviews say, it's a pretty short game, 6 hours or so 'til the finish. I don't know how far in I am, but I think I have most of the powers and I've upgraded lightning to the max. It's incredibly satisfying, running into a room full of stormtroopers, force pushing a bunch of them over some railings into an abyss, then picking up a massive girder which I've ripped from the wall and using it to crush another row of stormtroopers against the wall, before frying any survivors with some electrical pain.

I'm gonna say it now. Graphically, it's poo. It looks about the same as the PS2 version. That's not really bothering me though to be honest, because the gameplay more than makes up for it.

The controls for the wii version really do work amazingly well. I was suspecting it'd be a problem, but no, it all works as it's supposed to. For lightsaber control, the wiimote distinguises between left-to-right swings, right-to-left swings, upward swings, downward swings, and forward lunges. It might not be the one-to-one lightsaber control we were all hoping for, but it's a damn good system all the same. Stringing different attacks together makes some really nice combos, and some combos unleash further force powers, such as Slash, Slash, massive electrified ball of force to the face. Using force powers by pushing your hand forwards is nice too. All in all, I think I'd pick the Wii controls over those of any other console version. I haven't played the two-player dueling mode yet (a Wii exclusive I might add), 'cause I have nobody to duel with :(

But the best bits for me are the boss battles. Once you've smashed a boss around for long enough, you'll be given action prompts, similar to God of War, which if you pull off correctly will lead to some epic moves with you jumping all over the shop and generally kicking the arse of said boss. Looks especially nice if you're fighting a bigger enemy, like an AT-ST or a Rancor.

As I say, I haven't finished it yet, but the story is looking really good too so far, and gives a lot more character depth to Vader, something the prequels never managed.

I actually had very high hopes for the Wii version of SWTFU. I figured pushing at the screen to knock people over would feel totally bad ass. No Star Wars for me though ._.
