concerning blogs
I thought this would be one of the best places to ask about these things. Amanda wants to set up a blog, like on blogspot or livejournal or something of that style, not necessarily one of those places, but she only wants it viewable by certain people, including those who don't have accounts on such places, is there a way she could set up something like that that if she gave out the password to family and friends only they could see it?

Re: concerning blogs
well you can set up on LJ and then make the entries locked so only friends can see them, but then the other people have to have LJ accounts to so that's like stealing forty cakes for this situation. terrible.

Re: concerning blogs
Blogger.com allows for "invite only" blogs - you e-mail people on your list invites through the blog itself, and it only recognizes people on that list. Invited visitors can sign up, or view as a guest, but signing up only takes a minute or so, and is really no big deal.

I thought everyone already had a "pie with olive tomato erection" shirt. Surely it's not just me?

The rot13 cypher's pretty simplistic, but using a code/cypher isn't a terrible idea in general.

Re: concerning blogs
Off hand, there isn't really a good way to do this, because whoever you want to 'only see this page' inevitably can pass the link around, or will forget the link (accidentally trash the email, caught by spam trap)Dr Legostar wrote:I thought this would be one of the best places to ask about these things. You can do the photo aspect with photobucket more or less. Blogger offers similar functionality.
