Because heaven forbid we should have a movie where a female character acts contrary to how a "good girl" should act, deals with the consequences, and her life isn't destroyed.

Seriously. Evidently we'd all be better off if all movies were after school specials or involved pirates. It's not like teenage pregnancy is really even what the movie's about anyway. Man, fuck people.

Next I want to see a movie where a woman has an emotionally fullfilling affair, but her husband isn't a bully or a philanderer, he doesn't kill her lover, she doesn't eat arsenic or hang herself, she isn't ostracised from the community, they don't get a divorce, and everyone basically does alright afterward.
