Theme song?

Post by Mobi »

So, I was wondering, if your comic had a theme song, what would it be?

I think mine'd be a mix of Dropkick Murphys "Shipping up to Boston" ... and a very acoustic version of Anthrax's "Safe Home".

I compiled a soundtrack for it. Here's the last song on it, which sums it up pretty well.

Operation: NEKO: "Land of Confusion" by Disturbed. ...I once went through and found theme songs for the main characters, but I don't remember them now.

Survivor's Guide to the Underdark: "See Who I Am" by Within Temptation.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."

Believe it or not, the main orchestral theme from Jurassic Park. It has a very heroic sound to it and is completely wasted on a dinosaur movie.

Probably "Ancient Curse" by Peter Bjorn and John. Although I suppose I could dig up something that actually sounds old-ish...

For my old comic, I guess it'd have been "American Idiot" or "Hurry Up Let's Go" by the Shout Out Louds.

"Pure Imagination" from the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, although as much as Gene Wilder rocked in the title role, I don't think I'd use his version of the song..

That's The Spirit - written by me. There's eleven other songs to go with it, but that's the finale one.

No matter how many times this thread comes up, I have never been able to think of music for my comic.

I guess I just assume it would be something generic and fantasy-y . . . trouble is, most of the music in my collection I heavily identify with some movie or TV show or another, so trying to match those up to my comics causes cognitive dissonance.

I'd drink coffee to some smooth jazz. Now there's some good sippin'.

Maybe Acid Rain, by Dream Theatre? That's got a bit of a fantasy feel to it ...

I've never come up with a theme song for my comic. It hasn't gotten very far yet and the premise behind it doesn't follow any strict genres that I know of. I guess "Alternative Polka" by Weird Al would work.

Green Day - Sassafras Roots.

That may be more an admission of guilt than necessarily appropriate for the comic, though.

I love the Chrono Cross theme song. Totally inappropriate for my comic though.
