I'm just saying that this is a bad precedent and soon all the characters are going to be saved from death just by keeping a few bags of the stuff around.
But that withstanding, I'd be fine with it if they'd planned this neat side-effect from the start like when it didn't heal Claire's autopsied body when she died in the rape-accident.

GIVEN: It's been shown that people can share their powers.
GIVEN: Apparently tissue rejection doesn't exist in the Heroes world.
It makes an odd sort of sense that the healers could share their internal healing power too - by giving blood.
But another problem though (with the Noah Case anyway) is that he was (or should have been, being shot in the head) completely dead at the time. So they fix it by injecting Claire's blood into him. How was her blood able to circulate in order to heal him in the first place? His heart wasn't beating to circulate it.

To be fair, we don't know that his body was dead. There are a lot of head-shot victims whose bodies continue to function afterwards for a long while. He got shot through the eye; it's possible the brain stem was intact.ivstudios wrote:But another problem though (with the Noah Case anyway) is that he was (or should have been, being shot in the head) completely dead at the time. And even if he was dead, hey, her power is magical we already know that. It stops decay, doesn't even start healing until the intrusive object has been removed, rids the body perfectly of the heat generated by the healing, heals without consuming the body, and so on. What's one more bit of magic? So now it can heal people who have died and had rigor mortis set in and who are not her and so have started to decay and whose cells have started to rupture and so on.
I want to start digging up bodies and seeing how far back we can restore the living.

I was thinking about that too. He sure looked dead, what with the fogged corneas and all. It does seem like a bit of shoddy writing to introduce a cure-all without any real limits or consequences. I have a feeling the magical blood will be magically forgotten in later seasons, if the series survives that far. Or something will have to contaminate the healers' blood without causing them any harm. Or maybe the writers will just keep going with it, like Overpowered Peter.ivstudios wrote: But another problem though (with the Noah Case anyway) is that he was (or should have been, being shot in the head) completely dead at the time. Great episode this week. Heck, I liked West in some parts!
Best Line was the "human punching bag" comment from Elle. I like her character, it's nice to have someone who's completely off-kilter and has a visually cool power to boot. Half the fun is watching the reactions of other characters around her. Shame she probably won't make it past this season...
I think the biggest problem with West is when he's with Claire. There's just no chemistry/acting there. But I kind of liked it when he was with Bennet. It was a nice surprise to have them kind of getting along, and him walking in with Elle over his shoulder saying hello to Bennet's wife was a funny moment.
I like this evil twist to Parkman starting to come out. He's using this new part of his powers quite frequently, and his pleasure from it is cool to watch.
The entire nighttime scene of Hiro saying goodbye to his father and then coming back to see the killer was fantastically shot. I loved the dark/cool colors and the angles they used, and the weight of the scene was played very nicely. One of my favorite scenes from this show.
So where's Bennet, and who saved him? The obvious answer is Bob saving him, but why? And where'd he leave him?
Here's hoping the last two episodes end up being just as good.
Edit: wait, one problem with that episode: as someone else pointed out, what's the big threat of Adam never aging? Sometimes I can't tell if this show is purposely holding back on us, or is being way too ambiguous for its own good.

If Adam had it his way and gave out his blood to every one that's a bit sick, then eventually the rest of the world would stop aging too. I guess.
I liked this episode a lot actually. I agree with Ryclaude. I love it that Elle was actually a bit 'shocked' (pun intended) to feel how her electricity hurt. I also love it that Mr. Bennet replied with, "Stings like a bitch doesn't it."
One thing that's a bit odd though, is that if Adam killed Mr. Nakamura a week prior to the current time line, that means that he was crazy fast at finding Peter and getting a plane ride to meet him in Ireland, one week later.

Here is a fun experiment I would like to try. Get a kiddy pool full of Claire's blood, then put someone through a giant juicer and dump the pulp in the pool.legostargalactica wrote:that's why adam is so scary, he can create a neverending army of the undead!rkolter wrote:

Would they regenerate?
But they haven't established that the people who receive his blood suddenly have the same healing powers. If that were true, it'd mean Nathan now had the healing powers as well as flight, and the same for Bennet if Claire's powers are the same as Adam's.[AlmightyPyro] wrote:If Adam had it his way and gave out his blood to every one that's a bit sick, then eventually the rest of the world would stop aging too. And Adam met Peter in Montreal, not Ireland, and had left a note for Peter at first, so maybe it was a place they had already agreed to meet up at or something.

I would be more concerned that a kiddie pool of claire's blood might have the energy to actually heal into a new Claire.ivstudios wrote:Here is a fun experiment I would like to try. The blood is only effective for 1 (one) heal. Nathan punched the mirror and had to wear a bandage.Col wrote:But they haven't established that the people who receive his blood suddenly have the same healing powers. We already know that Claire's biological parents are Nathan Petrelli and pyro-lady. And Elle's father is Bob. So unless these facts are wrong they can't be twins. They could, however, be half-sisters, perhaps having the same mother.
Random way out there theory: Adam is, in a nod to the Biblical character, the first guy with a superpower. All the Heroes are his descendants. Being 300 years old, there are probably at least 10 generations, plenty of time to stir his DNA thoroughly into a Black, Mexican, or Italian lineage.
