Yeah. I mean I remember not using my pokemon cards anymore... but I can't even remember what happened to my pogs. Its like from one day to the next I stopped playing.

My pogs just got scattered all over the place. Every now and then I'll find one or a slammer.

I have Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering cards I used to play with, but not so much nowadays since I don't know anyone that plays anymore. Used to have some Pokémon cards as well, but I ended up ridding myself of them.

Old Magic cards can occasionally be worth something. My husband's collection is probably worth a few thousand dollars... Definitely check it out before chucking anything.

I collect refrigerator magnets. The kink is that they're all mostly from different cities.
Actually I noticed that many people were buying me souvenirs from places they went to, and since I get attached to things I get as presents, the amount of stuff on my shelves has been increasing and I couldn't talk people into buying that stuff, specially my family.
So I asked them, if they're gonna buy me something, to buy fridge magnets. So I can just put them all on fridge and have less mess on my shelves.

Are there holographic MTG cards? If not, there totally should be.

I'm still playing Magic, and yes, the old cards can be worth money. Even some of the jank...you'd be surprised at what cards used to be worthless but then became 'broken' by a change in the game.

my wife and I have been collecting magnets from different states we've driven through. we get them all from Flying J truck stops so that they'll all be from the same set, the idea being that we'd eventually have a map of the US on our fridge.

Turns out, not all of them are the same scale. Texas is WAY too small to fit the rest.

If they didn't change the scale, Alaska'd eat Rhode Island...

Like I'd ever visit Rhode Island...

Really, though, if they'd just kept the contiguous 48 on the same scale, it would've made for a nice map. as it is, I'm sure they also change the scale for states like RI, but likely to keep the price point the same.

It might seem interesting with different scales too, if you aproximate it... It'd look like a caricature of a map.
