It's funny. Tofu was created in China eons before the invention of hippies and San Francisco politics.

But was tofu invented before homosexuality?

My crystal ball says "no". But I wouldn't go using that as any accurate historical gauge. Especially considering I don't actually have a crystal ball.

Homosexuality is as old as Adam & Steve. I dunno if that really answers the question though. Maybe they made tofu, and that's why they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden. It was later changed to Adam and Eve and something about fruits.

Fruits, hinting at the original story?

Yes, but they didn't use it as food. Having tasted tofu I find it hard to believe that's what it was invented for.

Hmm, what's this article sticking out from.... the Internet. Abort that metaphor then. : /

Ooh, lookee what I found.

The Atlantic: Homosexuality and Biology
In 1984 Heino Meyer-Bahlburg, a neurobiologist at Columbia University, analyzed the results of twenty-seven studies undertaken to test the theory. According to Meyer-Bahlburg, a score of the studies in fact showed no difference between the testosterone or estrogen levels of homosexual and heterosexual men. Three studies did show that homosexuals had significantly lower levels of testosterone, but Meyer-Bahlburg believed that two of them were methodologically unsound and that the third was tainted by psychotropic drug use on the part of its subjects. Two studies actually reported higher levels of testosterone in homosexual men than in heterosexual men, and one unhelpfully showed the levels to be higher in bisexuals than in either heterosexuals or homosexuals.

there isn't a hormonal difference but there are differences in the sizes of certain brain regions. rather areas are the same size in homosexual men and women (some larger than heterosexual men some smaller depending on the region).

And speaking of size differences:
Subjects were 5122 men interviewed by the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction from 1938 to 1963. They were dichotomously classified as either homosexual (n = 935) or heterosexual (n = 4187). Penile dimensions were assessed using five measures of penile length and circumference from Kinsey's original protocol. On all five measures, homosexual men reported larger penises than did heterosexual men.

Okay, wow. Image macro that... I have no clue about. For confusing me, you win the prize at the very bottom of this huge, dark Box. You can't see it? Dig in deeper. Deeper. Get your whole body into it. Okay?

Now, don't come out until you realize what you've done.

Because the milking cows are repressed lesbians. The mixture of man-man and woman-woman becomes man-woman... somehow.

A friend of mine is on the Hood's Woods forum, where they are hotly discussing this soy subject too-- so he forwarded me some research stuff.

Apparently, not only does soy make your pee pee little...it contributes to Man Titties.

So all you guys who have realized that boobies make your comic more poplular....eat more soy.

Merrily,
Sky

Soy Estrogen and Cell Proliferation
Soy estrogen modified the structure of the breast

"In contrast to our expectations and evidence in the literature of a
protective effect of dietary phytoestrogens..."
"...postnatal genistein treatment...induced profound alterations in mammary
gland morphology...consistent with prolonged estrogen exposure."

Mammary Gland Morphology in Sprague-Dawley Rats following Treatment with an
Organochlorine Mixture in Utero and Neonatal Genistein.
Toxicol Sci. 2004 Jan;77(1):91-100. Epub 2003 Sep 26.

Soy Estrogen and Cell Proliferation
Two weeks of dietary soy produced measurable cell growth.

"The proliferation rate of breast lobular epithelium significantly increased
after 14 days of soy supplementation when both the day of menstrual cycle
and the age of patient were accounted for. Progesterone receptor expression
increased significantly in the soy group. Short-term dietary soy stimulates
breast proliferation"

Effects of soy-protein supplementation on epithelial proliferation in the
histologically normal human breast.
