Spinning 900 miles an hour that's 21,600 miles a day. That sounds right.

Orbiting 19 miles a second. That's about right too.

Size of the Galaxy and number of stars is about right. The Galaxy is not called the Milky Way though. The band of stars we see in a dark sky is. The galaxy is named... The Galaxy.

Universe expanding at the speed of light is right (Well, visible universe at any rate), and that's about 11,175,000 miles a minute, and they said 11 million, so that's pretty close.

So yeah. Good science, all around.

The 900 miles an hour would depend on whatever reference latitude you're using. At the equator the circumference of the Earth is about 25,000 miles so it's 1100 MPH. More accurately, that's 24902 miles for 1032 MPH. 900 MPH is what you'd get at a latitude of about 30 degrees.

The Galaxy is not called the Milky Way though. The band of stars we see in a dark sky is.

You'll have to tell that to my astronomy instructors then. Seriously, that band of stars we see in a dark sky _is_ what we see of the local galaxy. "Galaxy" is a generic term. The Milky Way, The Andromeda Galaxy, The greater and lesser Magellanic clouds are all galaxies.

Incidentally, the word "Galaxy" comes from the Greek "gala" or "milk." In mythology, Zeus, in an attempt to get Hera to accept infant Heracles (and, hopefully, avoid the torment she visited on the offspring of her other rapes) presented him to her for suckling. She found his powerful sucking to be quite painful (even for a goddess) and pulled him away from her breast. So strong, however, were Heracles' sucks that milk sprayed from her breast across the sky. It is this we see as the Milky Way. (Well, I don't think I've ever actually seen it--too much light pollution.)
