I always talk about video game protagonists in the first person.
Usually it's fine. "I jumped down the ledge, I stabbed the guy in the back, I flipped over and grabbed the key, I dodged the spikes, etc. etc.", not "Sam Fisher jumped down the ledge, the Prince of Persia stabbed the guy in the back..." etc.
Normally not a problem, right?
In Fatal Frame 2, you play as one of a set of Japanese twin girls.
In describing the storyline while playing, I used phrases like "my sister ran off, she put her hand on my shoulder, I turned around and no one was there..." and so on.
Now I didn't think anything of it at the time, but apparently the guy watching me thought it was hilarious I was referring to this Japanese girl in the first person.
His words: "At least have some dignity, dude."

I've got VII and X, though they're more so that when I bash Final Fantasy, my insults carry some weight.MERBman wrote:I don't play any Final Fantasies. I'm not really fond of them.

Hey, I didn't say I played them often, or that far through.PeppermintAfterlife wrote:How can you spend so much time playing something just so you can insult it? Those are long games.
