Unfortunately, I'm a dope about checking my forum, so I don't remember to check it very often. I think I've thrown away all of my Calc 3 notes and work!
Go me... Anyway, yes, if I remember correctly those pages included some integration with spherical coordinates and other such fun things. har. That part actually wasn't too bad, though... it was the crud we learned at the end of the course--Green's theorem and such, and independence o' the path--that really screwed me up. Those were the kinds of formulas that made no sense to me. And I agree with your advice! It's definitely a LOT easier to blank out on a formula than its derivation (provided that the derivation is pretty straightfoward.) I also have terrible problems with using formulas if I don't understand what they mean (case in point: Stokes's theorem). Because I can visualize the concepts of integrals and derivatives (and their significances... hmm, does "significance" have a plural form? Probably not.), I was able to learn those really easily, but that junk about independence of the path... just confused the heck out of me.
And I'm SO SURE you wanted to know all that! ^_^ I'll see if I can't make those scans bigger without having to re-scan the pages I no longer have.
