I know, I know ... you asked whether Rusty got first class before you. I meant that you got it first because you've posted more than he. Whoever Rusty is ... unless you meant me? If you did then I got confused and it was my mistake.
First Class comes after fourty posts, just trying to be helpful.

Sorry, I didn't realize you meant me, that must've seemed pretty hostile. Apologies, it's not my nature to be so without damned good reason.
Oh and you were indeed First Class before I, you were here before me. Whenever I mention that though, it's merely in jest.
[This message has been edited by SpiritWolf (edited 11-07-2000).]

*blows the dust off a very old topic* Well, look at this! Jason is really excited, Arno is speechless... Do we have a cartoonist that responds to her readers, or what? *L*
Though where is Arno in the first and second panels (friday)?

I think all good comic artists do though, it's the sign that the person doing the comic actually cares about their work and readerbase, as Angie clearly does.
I have to admit that my most favourite comics (Dakotas Ridge, Suburban Jungle, Towne Pub ...) all have really approachable and friendly authors who don't mind suggestions in the least.
Though there are some bad mainstream comics out there who've gotten egotistical from their success. As a matter of fact there's one or two I know of that quite regularly go about insulting any and every fanbase and thing they don't understand quite regularly, on their public forums too at that.
So if you ask me being friendly as Ang is is really a big plus when it comes to doing these comics and may she continue to draw great comics without becoming a self-righteous egotist -- but we all know she won't.
Edit Won't become an egotist that is, not won't do good comics for many years to come. Proof that one shouldn't post after just waking up. ;>
[This message has been edited by SpiritWolf (edited 01-05-2001).]

Arno> yeah, that's the same reason Greg refuses to read fanfics. *L* Ah well, i suppose i COULD sue Angie, but for WHAT? She's poorer than me! ;)

Now that I'm done being speechless... *L*
Well, there IS another problem to being approachable of course, one which professionals (ie, people who make their money being creative in one form or another) seem to be very careful with:
"You stole my idea!!!"
People DO do that... Just think of Rowling being sued for the use of the word Muggles... Often people are careful to stay well away from possible ideas from other people cause they may get accused of stealing them if they had similar ideas.
and even though they'd most likely win in court, it'd be nasty business which takes up a lot of time... *L* Of course, I'm talking on the level of writers and producers now... I think Angie's safe for now. ;)

Well it took me over half a year to do it, but I did it. ;)
<IMG SRC=http://dakotasridge.keenspace.com/image ... pilesm.jpg align=center>
I've also noticed that it's the perfect size for a computer desktop, so I'm going to color it (it'll take a loooong time) and put it up on the site for it to be DLed as a wallpaper *L*
But if you'd like to use it in black and white, here's the link to a larger version: http://dakotasridge.keenspace.com/image ... lrg.jpg
