"...it's don't base characters off your friends."

First of all, thank you CJ for taking the time to always be there for us, teh fans. I love talking to artists about artistry.

Anyway, as an aspiring young webcomic guy, would you mind elaborating please on why I would not want to do such a thing? You made it seem so fun!

... I suppose this is a bit like asking Timothy Leary why I SHOULDN'T drop acid...

easy. If any of your friends start fighting, even if you're not involved in the fight, and your comic has them as characters, you will be thrown into the middle of the fight. People will demand you take sides in the divorce you call friendship and then they will bitch when you refuse to. That is why CJ giving birth will be the last story line in BCI.

I've attempted to give all my friends happy endings and I'll be glad when no one is complaining that I don't stick them in the comic enough. :shifty:

Seriously though, all the best comics in BCI are the ones that involve Chaos and Lust, who are 2 of the few characters that aren't based off anyone.

So read Action Porn which will also start updating again soon. Holiday season has got me strung out.

Waaay ahead of you on the APC front. ^_^

Thanks for clearing that up, though. Sorry to hear you're being caught in between something. I was particularly curious because I had a (very) small-time webcomic that ran for about a year, starring a character based on a friend of mine, and no drama came of it. I think it helped that he never read it.
