Feast of Colors (A Lexi and Zack story)

The Feast of Jebus was a party unlike any other, a delight of all things sensual, excesses of drink, food and bare flesh were expected and indulged in without having to feel shame or guilt afterwards. Jebus was the sort of god that made religion almost fun. Jebus wanted his worshipers to enjoy excess in everything....the good and the bad. Serious followers of Jebus would fast and be celibate for weeks before the feast, growing gaunt and pale suffering the experience of loss and frustration before they were able to indulge in the pleasurable excesses of the Feast itself.

Most of the people of D'Ages were not followers of Jebus but nearly all of them became faithful Jebus lovers on the night of the feast. They wore their very best skimpy costumes, drank to much and got fairly well out of control. This year Lexi was going, he didn't plan to drink but planned to be there. David, Kellinton and Zack planned to go and Lexi not about to miss the show. The red head had been thinking for a over week, trying to come up with the perfect costume that would show off his much of his lean swordsman's body and his glorious vanity of flame hued hair. The answer came to him as he watched a pair of heavy northern warriors drag the fur clad forms into a tavern for a drink to escape the summer heat.

A Barbarian! The fur boots, loincloth, big sword....tattoos. It was perfect and cheap to make too. He already had the sword and the rest could be fashioned up easy enough, even by someone as unskilled with a needle as he was. The tattoos though, that would be a trick. Someone would have to paint them on for him. He thought of WhiteRaven first, that elf was a talented painter but he was also .....well just the thought of wearing a loincloth while that elf was painting tattoos on him, Master Tan looking on. Errr No. Defiantly not Whiteraven. That would end up getting way to embarrassing, The red head was blushing the same scarlet hue as his hair just thinking about it.
