I don't know if you've noticed or not Alex, but on my links page I've refered to your style as 'Disneyesque'....fair comment, do you think?
Your comics always remind me of a saturday morning Disney cartoon (in a good way) Have you drawn any inspiration from those kind of sources?

MY style?
Oh, i noticed a long while ago that you put Disneyesque as opposed to anime-esque or manga-esque. Well, my style actually is partly Disney influenced, especially the eyes and the more round, organic feel of the characters. I don't have many sharp angles because I find smooth arcs flow better. Of course anime has been a major influence for my drawings, and you can see it in the characters' proportions and the way I draw the heads. I like to think that the way I draw hair is more disney-ish but alot of times I slip into good old anime-mode and draw a bunch of sharp bangs shooting out everywhere. Right now the style of nnfb is more cutesy than cool, and for that reason it really feels like a Disney cartoon. But eventually the changing tone of the comic will elicit a sharper and more slick feel to the art, probably lessening that Disney-ish quality.
To answer your question I'd say that Disneyesque is a more unique way to describe nnfb, and I actualy somewhat prefer it over anime/manga-esque, which I get tired of hearing from people. The sharper eye will notice that I don't draw anime, I just draw samurai.

Now if only Disney would start utilizing more violence and large swords...
Mulan had the potential for greatness, but they kind of blew it in the end with the sappy music and that darn dragon. Don't get me wrong, I thought Mulan was excelent (and at times I even see a lot of it in NNFB), but I just think it could've been better.

I love Mulan!
Great score done by Jerry Goldsmith, a ghetto dragon (ok, I hated Mushu at first but he grew on me), and that bad ass Hun general Shao Yu (or something like that). The only bad part about the movie was that instead of having Mulan lop of Shao's head on top of the palace, they opted to have Mushu blow it up with a bunch of fireworks... That was the part that really annoyed me. The final big action scene and it's pretty much all comedy! I wanted a seriou battle to the death! But that's not Disney's cutesy style so oh well, you get what you get. The charging Hun army scene is still ultimate!
