I am looking at buying a wacom tablet because my laptop tablet pc is old and cranky now, and I can't afford a new laptop yet.
Any suggestions on what to get? I need something really reasonable, preferably not over $120ish. It doesn't have to be pressure sensitive or anything.
I'd like some tablet advice

Newegg has a wacom store here. They seem to have around four 5.8" by 3.7" tablets for $100 and less, if you want one bigger than that they start breaking the $200 price tag.
FYI, pressure sensitivity is delicious.

Thanks for the link! Don't know why I didn't instantly think of NewEgg...where do they get all those wonderful toys?
If I can get pressure sensitive I will, just for the extra nuance I'm sure it would give my naturally sketchy work, but that would be more of a perk than anything. I've been doing it with no sensitivity so long I'm used to just switching my thickness manually.
Would help if I got new software, too. I'm still doing everything in Fireworks MX...back before Adobe bought them all out. One of these days I'll buy photoshop when it's not 9 billion dollars. Wish I was still a student.

Corel Painter is probably cheaper especially if you find the version 9, which was the last one that wasn't too overrun with bugs. Which is also the drawback. Corel really doesn't believe in debugging. Still, it has a better feel for drawing and painting than PS.Corgan_dane wrote:One of these days I'll buy photoshop when it's not 9 billion dollars. There's always eBay; that's where I got mine.
