I got the idea for this from a previous thread, entitled "Hawt or nawt?", in which an artist (I believe it was the Snoo) presented a few pics of women he had drawn, asking whether he had managed to convey a general feeling of...hawtness.

After a while, a few other artists contributed, but it sorta dwindled into nothingness.

So, anyway, I wanted to have a thread where people could post pictures of hawt (or cute) females, ask for critiques, ect. Because, when drawing a character that's supposed to be a love interest, we as artists have a difficult challenge: making someone feel attracted to a collection of graphite on a page.

The only rules are: #1 That the Picture must be work-safe
#2 That the drawing is of a g1rl. Sorry ladies, you can create a thread for man-illustration if you want. Also, no hermaphrodites. LINKARA THIS RULE WAS FOR YOU!!!

Chihauhua, you're my new hero for starting this thread.

Swikan, I like the moxy of that second one, but she's a little too skinny for comfort. Makes me think of a barbie doll: proportions that are considered hot, but not very realistic.

LOL, BlackSparrow. Yes I can't do realistic. I will argue, however, that comic book/videogame "hawt" girls are *ALL* drawn in proportions that are considered hot, but unrealistic. :lol:

BTW, I am glad someone else posted in this thread after me and EvilC.

Except for "Tina the Toothfairy" from my comic, I don't usually have the opportunity to attempt to draw an attractive lady.

Whoo! The thread lives!

Really nice pic, Aiken. The only possible thing I can point out is that her hips are too small in comparison to her shoulders.

But you did the clothes really well, I especially like her belt... well, okay, I like the whole picture, actually.

No, seriously, I think I brought up my liking of hermaphrodites once, maybe twice, and I certainly don't draw any, so where'd this come from? ^^;; I must have a terrible memory...
