basically, just looking for comments on my work. anything on the site is fair game.

a few things to be said though...

i started this comic out with the idea to get better. my beginning artwork is very VERY rough, i'm aware of that so i don't need to be reminded, lol. my goal is that when i get to the point where i'm 100% happy with my work, i'll redo all the beginning stuff.

my comic is for a mature audience only. not anything like explicit porn, but more like dirty jokes and some sex pages with the naughy bits somewhere conveniently off screen. if that's not your cup of tea, that's fine. i understand that my comic is not going to appeal to all audiences.

i also experimented with different coloring/shading types throughout the comic and i do plan on continuing with the color as i've found i feel the most content with it.

so that's about it. thank you so much for taking the time to review boobs ahoy! my only request is that you offer something constructive because i really am interested in getting better.

I'ts pretty entertaining. The only complaint I have is that the characters don't look quite feminine enough. You can't tell that the characters are girls just by looking at it. Ecspecially the dark haired eyepatch girl. Although, you could be trying to give her a more masculine-type-lesbian look, I'm not really sure. Besides that tho, its good times. :)

i actually got that same comment on the comic pitching board
http://forums.comicgenesis.com/viewtopic.php?t=72715

and thus made a long reply you can check out if you want... the short reply:
about wilhelm, yeah, she's a butch lesbian so it doesn't really work to make her more girly. it's a joke that she gets mistaken for a guy.
still surprised people think that about clover, but in that link above i discuss the reasoning for her not having large boobs or hips or anything to speak of (in short, because she's based on me)... is there anything you can think of i could do to make her more girly aside from giving her an enormous rack or something?

I looked it over...it's pretty funny. I've never read a lesbian pirate comic before. I'm still waiting for a gay mafia comic book. Anywho, I suggest eyelashes for Clover and actually any girl who isn't "butch" or for lack of a better term, meant to be "ugly". Eyelashes, everyone's got em but they usually are a mark of a woman in cartoons. No lipstick cuz that would be a lipstick lesbian, duh.

Hm, I guess I'll reply here, seeing as this discussion carried over. I think you misunderstood me. When I said you should give them more curves, I didn't mean give them huge breasts. Even girls with A cup breasts aren't completely flat if you see them from the side. The female body is full of nice soft curves, like the hips and the small of the back. I think if you work with references and practice drawing anatomy, they will start looking more feminine.
