Merging Layers in Painter

Post by Alaina »

How do I merge layers in Painter? I don't know how and it's driving me crazy! There's a drop feature, but that merges the layer to the canvas. I can't find any reference to merging in the Painter Help sections. This is so frustrating!

I believe in Painter it's called "grouping".

Wait, but doesn't Grouping in Painter mean the same thing as Grouping in Photoshop?

In the Essentials verson of painter you start by grouping the layers you wanna merge , then select 'colapse'.

I'd assume it works the same way in the full version.

Thanks everyone, I'll try the collapse thing later tonight.

And Shinedog--YES    . It has shut down 2 times already and I never used to save until I finished. EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED.
