Guess I'll have to break out the ol' trusty Google and have a search.

Don't! He's a furry artist/gun aficionado who usually draws furry porn (including one character having sex with his sister :P).

Thought I'd comment on this real quick. I love it. I was wondering when someone would draw a chubby Gen Chan. She looks very real in her proportions and still very pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing this one colored.

that and he's a bit of a weeabo amongst furries, both because of his apparently controversial political views (I can't seem to find anything wrong with what he does or the messages he puts out through his comics... meh) plus of course his porn and comic which more than once has touched the theme of bro/sis incest...

I dont see the big deal - I know of furry artists who are, IMO, far worse when it comes to whatever crap they might be spewing...

Thanks! I look forward to someday coloring it, once I have a totally stable computer.

Also, re: Jay Naylor--I kind of like Better Days, actually. It's terrifying in most respects (incest/hyperconservatism/etc/etc), but the guy can tell a pretty heartfelt story, even if it's a heartfelt story about getting it on with your sister a lot.

Maybe I shoulda said "pictures must be of humans"...Oh well, too late for it now. Go ahead.

But hey, nice pic, CC. I kould never get the hand of drawing anthropomorphs, but you seem to have a talent for it.

It takes practice. Lol. I actually never drew an anthromorph before five or six months ago. Before that, it was people and scenery and I couldn't draw animals for the life of me.

What changed my fate is the fact that my boyfriend likes anthromorphs, so I got to see a whole bunch of art on it and decided to draw a picture of myself and my boyfriend in anthromorphic form (the panther and bunny from my comic examples are us).

And from there came the love of blending animals and people together into pretty little things like Calyndre. I still can't draw animals for the life of me, but getting halfway is still a gleeful little moment for me. :shucks:

Since it's a TTT thread, I'm allowed to comment/critique, yes?
I like the style, and as CJ said, it's great to see a chubby yet pretty Genchan being made. :D Anatomy is ok for the most, but there are a few issues that I would advice you to change, if possible, before colouring and submitting her... First of all, the hands look very off. Fingers and wrist don't bend that way. Her arms look kind of too thin in relation to the rest of her figure, but it could slide as a stylistic thing. Her head is a bit small, and her facial expression, while there's nothing wrong with it per se, doesn't seem the most appropriate expression for a frontpage figure... why not make her smile or something? :)
Hope I don't come off as too negative, just trying to be helpful. Oh, and another technical thing: Genchan needs to fill out the Genchan-template as much as possible, and yours looks like there'll be a lot of space at the top of the picture. Quite a few genchans haven't made it to the frontpage because they couldn't fill out the space good enough and it just didn't look good on-site...
Yes, we're awfully nitpicky. ;)

Really? Well, I love your colouring of that picture, but then I like "muddy". ;)

Nice one Jess.

One thing I have to say though, her eyes look like they came out of a paisley pattern.

Thanks, EC! Hmmm, yeah I see what you're saying now about the eyes. I'll have to work on those.

my suggestion: learn how to do shoes and boots instead - far easier! :D

But... shoes and boots take their SHAPE from feet. You HAVE to know how to draw feet to draw good footwear.

Yup, it's much better to practice drawing feet and then just add shoes.

i disagree - boots and shoes are simpler shapes IMO - easier to make look right

of course, one can just do it the easy way (the way I did it) and shamelessly copy the way someone else do feet
