What do you mean by basic sketches of characters? Faces? Anatomy? Human porportions? Muscle-work?

Heya there,

Do you have any online tutorial you would recommend to learn how to do perspective using focal points? (I think that's the name in English... in French, "point de fuite", correct my translation if I'm wrong)

I have absolutely no artistic background, so I'm a little intimidated by anything that isn't aimed specifically at newbies...

Thanks!

They're largely known as Vanishing Points (VPs) - I have seen the FP acronym used now and again though.

From a quick Google with "Vanishing Points Tutorial" I got:
Basic Principles Of Perspective Drawing For The Technical Illustrator

I also got this through a Google with "Perspective Tutorials":
DrawThrough.com (very good Elipses tutorial) - Again, very techy, but when you're dealing with perspective, that's generally what you'll get.

I can't find a VP/Perspective tutorial for the average artist though, I'd like to see one of those. Anyone got anything?

Anyone know any good tutorials on drawing hair in a more "realistic" manner? I've found a number on drawing "anime style" but not much on the more naturalistic.

Comic Lettering!

Post by Mirage_mail »

http://www.deviantart.com/view/16941048/

I really don't like to plug my own stuff, but I created this a few days ago, and thought it might help a bit. It's a fairly large image, but it's a tutorial on lettering your webcomic in PS7 for those of us who don't have illustrator..:D

And please forgive the typos, my computer wanted to crash just saving it, so I'm waiting for more RAM before I fix them..

Anyways! Hope it helps!

They're around if you can catch them. For some reason, they vanish fast. You know... Hair today, gone tomorrow.
