I just wanted to ask for your personal opinions on your best luck finding them. And yes, Stephen is a nice guy.

As of right now, the most you should do with a pen is write a plot. The most you should do with a pencil is sketches.

As I said, there is no quick fix. YOU want to turn this into something? Get your stuff in order before starting

All I did was ask where to find inking pens. That's just one of the many problems you stated with my comic.

I just wanted to say that you don't have to part with all the pages that you did so far. I mean, I assume you put time and effort into them, and it's hard to throw it away if it means something to you.

Anyway, maybe you could make an 'old archives page' or 'archives you were never meant to see' or something like that. That way you and your friends still have access to it - and perhaps eventually even some newer fans will take a look at it while browsing the site. In fact, I think it will be quite funny to look back on them once you've been webcomicing for a couple of years. Its amazing how much a person can improve, and how much you can learn in just a year or two. Every time I see my older work, I can hardly believe the enormous difference!

Don't be discouraged by everyone. ;) Just think your comic through before you start over, to prevent any disappointments in the future. Think of one short storyline first I'd say. It can be part of something bigger, of course, but starting small is definately the way to go when the slope's still slippery.

Since you're trying to do a homorous comic (I think?) - I'd refer you to http://phbites.keenspace.com. The artwork isn't amazing, but it's funny, and it is (in my opinion) a good example of using storylines for a funny comic. If you go to the archives page, you'll notice there are some short storylines. Now the storylines are not always stories as such, but more like themes... anyway, I like it, and maybe phbites will be somewhat inspiring.

Good luck with everything!

Thanks. I'm doing a comedy/Action comic by the way.

And here's a nice change of subject. :D

What should I put on my site until I'm ready to start replacing the old archives?

I downloaded the 1st page installer but it won't work. Any idea which thread shows how to center the page?

HTML tutorial. Hint: centering is under "Lines and Paragraphs".

Okay, have you ever seen HTML before? You know how they use the <> around the HTML tags?
<center> to center it
</center> to turn off the center.

Incredibly easy. Perhaps the easiet thing one can do with HTML.

Oh yeah. I recall hearing that somewhere before. *hides html cheat sheet that he forgot about behind his back* So, how 'bout that filler? What should I put there until I'm ready to start again? I'll test that centering stuff today.

Uh.... you're kinda supposed to come up with the ideas YOURSELF, you know.

I know you're thirteen, but that's no reason to depend on your seniors to constantly help you out every move of the way.

Please stop changing that thread's title. It is not witty or clever or funny or (insert anything positive).

The idea was to find out what any wanderers by would like to see while I worked on a new comic start. Since you guys are ptential wanderers by I figured it's be good to ask you.

And I only changed the title so you would'nt pass it by since "Thanks for the Critiques" sounds like an "I'm Done With This Thread" title.

You shouldn't have changed it to "Thanks for the critiques" in the first place. But anyway... I concur with:
Uh.... you're kinda supposed to come up with the ideas YOURSELF, you know.
If you go on hiatus, just make it clear on the front page that the comic isn't being updated for the time being. Everything else is up to you.

Really?

I actually like that about it. If it were visible I'd make a black comic with a black background on a black page. Too bad it's not visible.
I remember caring... It was nice.

maybe we could make the comic, all in black ink, on a black canvas, with the background all in black. the text all in black.

just a black page.

call it experimental art.

That's waaayyyyy too much black.

Let's throw in some onyx, jet, ebon, raven, sable and obsidian ink too. And if you really want to get wild... use some piceous ink.

:)

Do you mean the site background or the comic background?
