shameless self-promotion for da new style

Post by Jewa_FtA »

Hey everyone! A whiles back, I posted because my comic was scarily bad. Unfortunately, I had no way of improving it with the use of my computer, so I changed the way I drew it on the actual paper. I am pleased with the results, and I hope I can get some opinions on it, and this is the only way I know how.

The change started on the two most recent comics (as of 1/26/03), I hope you'll be able to see a drastic change from the first few comics to these new ones. So please give me some constructive criticism, I'd really appreciate it.

Warning: Shonen-ai. This means boy on boy sweet sweet love. Don't like, don't look, sorry.

((Self promotion whore, away!!!! ::whoosh::))

Like anything else, story and art will get better with pratice. I'm not really down with the story, seems to be moving to slow a few other problems but you should learn how to cope with them in time.

Your art does look better in these last two. Again pratice. Which is the reason i'm doing my comic, to pratice my art and writing skills.

If you don't have photoshop, you could get GIMP. It's free. I don't know the url but someone here can hook you up.

As far as HTML, check your computer to see if you have dreamweaver on it. I had it on my computer and didn't even know it. If not send me an email and i'll gladly help you out in that department.

The gimp.org site got unnecessarily complex recently. They're moving to a new version so you have all the libraries needed by GIMP 1.2 and 1.3 as separate downloads. Quite ugly.

This is the stable GIMP version (1.2)

This is the development GIMP (1.3) which has more features (SVG. CMS)

It's also possible that this version won't run because it needs a newer version of GTK+2. I haven't tried it. I'm running own of space on my laptop at the moment.

thanks for the tips regarding software, but I have a macintosh, so GIMP does not comply. I actually have a good HTML program, I'm just retarded and have no skills in designing the page. But the page isn't what matters, right? :p

Anyhoo, thanks for visiting, the 'plot' it only a dozen pages old right now, so it's still under contruction like whoa. But thanks for the input, I'll do my best.

Yes it does. I use a Mac myself, and MacGIMP is available too ( http://www.MacGIMP.org ). You need Apple's X11 if you're not on Panther, but otherwise it runs quite well... not as nice as the Linux Version, but still good.

That's the second time I've given a mac user windows links. We need to have everyone list their OS so we can give the right type of help to the right person.
