I am reminded of Bob and George.

I'll admit, I'm biased, being his brother and all, but I think Owen's got more talent than David Anez's early attempts at a hand-drawn comic.

I also think Owen tells a better story. I really liked B&G at first, but I stopped reading it around the 4th Megaman game, because I felt it had stopped being funny.

sorry it took so long to post, but I couldn't log in.

Honestly, I think the big difference betewen mine and B&G is that David went for a simplistic look that didn't really do much justice. The fact is, his lines were sharper than mine, but his characters ultimately worse because of the style.

If I were to draw that simple, I could get the lines that smooth, but I'm trying for a more detailed approach.

Ultimately, the difference is, I'm willing to put in the time to get mine to become better. Now B&G realized that he had something big, whereas as a hand drawn comic he would have likely faded into mediocrity. but then again, he was the first sprite comic. KotOC has, probably somewhere around 100 loyal fans, although I really don't know how to check that number anymore (they took away the status report button I used to click). As a sprite comic, it was never going to reach the popularity I think it deserved. It still won't but now I can improve my art skills without "abandoning" the story.

And once I'm confident enough, I can start some of my other stories.

Ah well. I'm wondering how the new Pete the Ninja is going to look like.

Hopefully pretty cool. I think my artwork is improving rapidly, and by the time I get to him (which isn't too much longer) I'm hoping to have picked up some new tricks. I've always liked the 1/2half ninja mask look, so I'm looking forward to drawing him.

I honestly don't really like it.

...but, eh. That's just me. I'm sorry.
