there are many reasons forums die off, generally people become good friends and move to other forms of communication, ie email, msn, yahoo, aim etc. Especially when the forum is no longer about its topic.

Restoring the forum to its original glory would be a difficult task. Long and meaningful conversations would be a good start, make the conversation intelligent and relevant to the time of posting, dont go waaaaaay back to reply to an old post, it slows things down and breaks the continuity of the topic. By all means READ back through it to catch up, but unless its a really important post, or even directed to yourself personally, it doesnt need to be dragged out of the vault so to speak.

Despite having very short internet stints, I do try to come back to check out the forum, but sometimes I get here and the answers are just one or two word posts. Not very stimulating conversations. I know its hard, timezones being the pain, but write down some really cool stuff, give people something worth replying to, instead of replying in every topic, pick the ones that you most want to say something to and make it a decent post, with little random bits thrown in.

Many of the people that come here, are quite intelligent and would love stimulating and meaningful conversation. the bit of fun we all have, doesnt have to go, not at all, but make your conversation worthy! The results can be surprising!

He's right, that's the main problem. I think we should be able to talk about our personal stuff, but I'd like for there to still be meaningful Arcana conversation. I know I still want to talk about stuff about the summary and stuff... And I want us to keep up the challenges and fanart! I know it's hard with the comic not continuing... But if we can not go way off topic, or use the randomness threads for that, I think more people will stick around.

Amy, it doesnt matter that yous spelling isnt the greatest, what matters is the conversation, besides, the more you talk, the better you become at it. as for your spelling, just observe the way others write certain words that can help you o spell correctly. Hell im 25 and I didnt spell properly for years! observation helps!

And Struck is right, meaningful conversation would be great! At the moment the only person I have stimulating conversation with is Sara and I dont get to talk to Sara as often as i would like, the only net access i have is at Strucks house. But there is more people here than just Sara and I.

I would come here more if things improved.

I rarely see anything I can reply too.

Most of the things here are random chatter that I don't really relate too... and ones I find a topic I do have something to say something to it quickly turns in to random chatter and again... I have nothing to add *Shrugs*

I really only come around here because I like the people here and well... because I like Arcana.

Honestly if we found somewhere else we could all meet up... like a board that wasn't for anything special or a chat room somewhere... I'd be more than willing to join.

what about posting some of the pictures you have drawn Dazza? Ive seen many of your pics for your own comic, some are really good, and follow the look of Kellies Arcana style, would you be interested in drawing some Arcana fanart?

would everyone be willing to have an MSN address? I only ask of an MSN address, because I know it is free to download MSN. I dont know about Yahoo, or AIM, so i cant offer them. or does anyone know how to create a forum? one just for everyone here?

To be completly honest... I have been wanting to do some Arcana fan art... Espichaly of Holden... But I'm to scared I'd end up hating it and just get frustrated trying.

I'm truly honored that you think my style seems a bit like that. Since I really am a big fan of the Arcana art style (and highly annoyed that I've started being able to see little mistake in some of the drawings >.<)

MSN, Yahoo, AIM and Yahoo are all free to download and use.
I have all of them though mostly use AIM and MSN.

I'm sure there's some places out there you can make a free forum... But I don't know for sure...

I do know there are places that offers free chats though.

Dazza, I'm glad you like us and Arcana! *snuggles* It would be sad if you liked Arcana but not us. I agree with Dodge, you should post more pictures! I really like your drawing style, and what you have of your comic so far... I hope you do draw some Arcana fanart, hopefully you'll like it too!

I'm for the idea of a separate board/chat thing. But the problem with a chatroom is that we're in lots of different time zones and different schedules, so not many would be on simultaneously. That's why a forum is good. And honestly, I still think that though the majority of this forum should be concentrated on Arcana and related stuff, but I still think it's ok to talk about ourselves. What we really need is to moderate ourselves and just talk about OT stuff in a specific OT thread, like how we're doing, what's up and such. The rest can be about Arcana/writings/art/relevant to Arcana stuff. What do you guys think? Would you prefer to keep this forum Arcana-based but with a little leeway for other discussion? As long as we self-moderate better than we have been, it can work.

Wow... I've checked quite a lot (mostly yaoi related) webcomics out since I read Arcana... but no one of them was as great as Kellys ^_^ Even though For the love of yaoi, Pandect, Sublunary was great!!!
I'm Yaoi- and Slash-oholic... XP

So... Now any others? =/ I desperately need some non-reality stuff... Cuz... well, lets just say the grass aint that bright at my sight right now... ^~^
