Does everything have a meaning?

Post by Master killer »

See i'v been haveing bad dreams for along time which has drawn me to a question; Do dreams have a meaning in them.
some scientists say that dreams are some sort of premanion of some sort but if you have dream of being on pluto how can that be true and also (sorry about the spelling) daycharvu does that mean somethink more?
All smiles and sunshine, a perfect world on a perfect day!
Everythings gonna work out i have never felt so great!

Well, people think different things... but I believe that dreams have meaning. Not necessarily literal meaning, but symbolic. Like if you dream about being on pluto, maybe you feel somehow lonely or far from home. When you wake up from a dream, you should think about how you felt, and what things were around you... certain things have meanings associated with them but it's mainly what you feel. so if you tell me a really specific dream, I can try and help you with it... post it here or pm me if you want. Also, they have dream books at the library and stuff.,..

...Well, I can tell you this. Sometimes I have dreams that might reflect future events, (prophetic, in a sense) But some of my dreams are trash, so they're what I call "fillers". I mean, seriously. A giant garbage bin taking over my neighborhood (sad, but true)...Actually, it DOES mean something.

IT MEANS I'M CRAZY!! ><

Don't worry Euthie, I have crazy dreams too. The prescient ones are the weirdest, though... my dad gets them more than I do.

But I believe meaning can be derived even from the most nonsensical dreams.

Dreams are you're brain's way of taking out the garbage so to speak, and they allow it to sort things out. Sometimes you learn something about yourself from a dream that you didn't know before, if you interpret it correctly.

Yeah. I suppose so.

Do any of you feel anything in your dreams? And by "feel" I mean you can taste things, touch things, feel gravitational forces pulling or pushing at you, feel pain (burning, stabbing, etc.) Because I do. I used to be able to tell my dreams apart from reality because of those factors, and now I can't.

Oh, yeah, with some dreams. Some are so surreal I realize midway through that I'm dreaming. Others I have all sensations and am confused when I awake, since the dream was so real.

Yeah.

Once, I got stabbed in the back in my dream, and I actually felt pain. Now, I'm pretty sure that the REAL pain you experience getting stabbed in the back would be 10 times worse (this IS a dream, after all. The senses are numbed) But still.

Deja Vu? yeah get that alot, kind of cool, gives me an opportunity to choose the right thing to do, but generally theres not enough time to remember the dejavu in the first place. some people say its the alternate reality of us catching up to us, or we're catching up to them? what do you believe?

*hugs Euthanasia back* of course youre not! :D unless we all are?? :-? (lets hope not) ^_^

Hmmm i think Deja Vu is really kind of creepy when you get that tingly feeling that you've done the exact smae thing at the exact same time with the same people before- well i did the other day- it was just strange- its cool sometimes but kinda a strange feeling to have...

vampz!!! *glomp-tackles* hello!! ^_^

its gives me the shudders when you feel like youve done something before/ had the same experience...

talking about creepy things has anyone here seen the documentary on M. Night Shaylaman- the director who did The Sixth Sense, Signs, and The Village and other creepy movies like them- anyway the documentary called The Secrets of M. Night Shaylaman and its pretty creepy like all the stuff that they "uncover" about him- its really good though!

Well if it means anything to anyone I think dreams are just a way of living out your fears and deja vu is something you get from a previous life with the whole basic history repeating itself except technology gets better.......

but thats just what i think and I am crazy ask damned
