From what I've heard, copyrighting is quite expensive. And I seriously doubt anyone would steal your characters, even if you put them on the net. Just put a bunch of 2 point text at the bottom that looks like a copyright notice and you should be fine.

It reminds me of what I used to do. I would look for people that had the alias of "Sailor Leo" and I'd mailbomb them.

Actually, a quick and easy way to copyright material, until you can get a copyright lawyer to look at it, is to make a copy of the material for yourself, but put the original in a sealed envelope and then mail it to yourself....put like, your name but a friend's address or send it from school to your home....NEVER OPEN IT! The post office seal on the paper will work as a temporary copyright...JUST NEVER OPEN THAT ENVELOPE!!
This will stand up in court...it has before for my friend and her band when someone tried to steal one of their songs....what niftyness!
You just need to EVENTUALLY get a copyright lawyer to help you out and get a full copyright on your material...

*sigh*

ok here's the answer to ur question. its not bad as long as u don't take credit in making the characters and everything and gain money from it. u can do whatever u want really. and this is sam if ur wondering. I sooo bootlegged ian's art in my comics so i would be sued before u would.
