This Friday is my BIRTHDAY!! I will be 23...eep!
I will be home visiting family and might not be around to post, I know you'll all be so sad...

Happy birthday! May your gifts this year far outstrip those you got for your first birthday. I mean, because a rattle, stack-em rings, and some new onesies are great when you're 12 months old, but your tastes have matured since then!

normally i would scream BESTEST BIRTHDAY EVER....but I can't under the unusual circumstanaces that have befallen me...I had to go to a funeral today (and a visitation on my birthday) for a very dear friend who passed away WAY TOO EARLY...Amanda Morris-she was only 21 and had just signed her first professional contract as an opera singer....very sad....HOWEVER....the BIRTHDAY part of my birthday was way-o niftorinee....my boyfriend got me a Dark Pheonix statue--the one where she's comin out of the flames and stuff....and my parents (helped pay for really) got me a flat screen monitor for my computer, which my brother overhauled (go engineering majors ! w00t!), i got tons of giraffes ( me loves the giraffes)--PLUSHIE mind you...and i got the assumed and graciously accepted Winnie-the-Pooh assortment...oh, and my best friend in the world (Sandy) made me the best mix tape ever and TOOK ME ROLLERSKATING! WHOOO!! watching her fall all over 5 year olds was the best! wheee!

*sigh* and if the darn carnival had had a tilt a whirl i woulda done that too, but they didnt--SO THEY ARE DEAD TO ME!

Birthdays are futile. They are nothing but the expression of a recurrence of one's arbitrary date of birth in arbitrary time-frames. Their utility is so that people may mark the number of arbitrary time-frames since they were born, and how close they are to the sweet, sweet embrace of oblivion.
