Yay! Gin is Back!

Post by Zodo »

And she's helping Melissa cook!

I like the little detail where Melissa is using her thumb to see when the measuring cup is full. :)

I think that's her forefinger, her thumb would really be too busy making sure the mesuring cup didn't fall out of her hand. Unless you've got huge hands and/or a great grip, you can't really hold a cup full of water with only 4 fingers.

That would be Diana. We saw her first (i believe) during the Jungle Gym incident.

She first showed up here. She brought bubbles!

She's been in a couple other strips since then.

Ah ha! I don't wanna be a turd, but it's so rare I can get anybody on trivia--especially Zodo!

To be fair, I did tweak her design since then, but Diana first showed up in the Pokemon strip--check the insignia on her shirt.

And here I thought she'd have more then one shirt. :) Bigger wardrobes BJ, chop, chop! 8)
And BJ this is _YOUR_ trivia, if anybody knows more about it then you.... hmmmmm... it would have to be Joey!
Anyway, very shiny comic, and the only matchup I felt reasonably sure would happen. My really bad joke: the deaf leading the blind <wince>. Now to figure out what room the flaming skull lives in, and what kind of fashion sense it has.

I'm more than a little curious how one gets "Brandy" out of "Heather Jean"...

Maybe Mr. Edwards was an alcoholic.

Ouch! And I thought my joke/observation was bad.

Am I the only one that thinks our smaller friend looks a little...uh...threatening?

Yeah, the twins are named Melissa and Heather. Brandy got her nickname after Grandma Edwards gave her a spoonful of brandy when she was sick as a kid. Brandy rather liked the stuff, and a nickname was born. Ironically, Brandy doesn't drink much or often. But her nickname suits her better than her real name, so Melissa only pulls out the big guns when she's angry or indignant.

This is all stuff I can't really throw into the comic, but hey...trivia!

I just knew that alcohol was involved. I'm just good, I guess.

Ooh, I did get stumped on the trivia... Didn't expect BJ to be consistent that far back... ;)

-----

As for 'Heather Jean'...

Quite interesting.

It's also curious how Jared is skulking with her... I'd think that Melissa might hear his footsteps, or maybe his breathing nearby. Of course, the only way he has of positively letting her know he's there would be to touch her, and she's got that stick she's swinging around...

Didn't that flaming skull catch up with him? I still think there's something about him.
