... I'm not going to make any placid compliments, so I'll just state, straight from the heart, that this is a masterpiece.
Do not ever, ever have the guts to even debate the art in panels three and four in your notes. These two panels can do without any text.
Anyone who can constitute a good punchline with art only, and at the same time move me without an attempt at being funny gets MY vote!
You got mine today. I'm still looking at it as we speak.
Masterpiece.
peter

Eye, BJ, in Keenspace, this court of giants and fools, your toes tower like boulders over our heads.
The Keenspot admins are fools to continue to deny you admission.
------------------

Geez, guys--lay it on a little thicker!
Look, I'm not even working off a script, here. Right now I don't have a clue what tomorrow's strip will be. Personally, I'd like to get back to the amusing stuff, as I'm getting a little too heavy for my own taste. And I've been a while without punchlines.
Thanks for the praise, but there are plenty of more professional people here on Keenspace--you know, people without unfinished work hanging over their heads. Please let me learn how to walk before you tell me what a great dancer I am.
I don't mean to sound harsh, and I do enjoy the kind words--I always enjoy the kind words--but if you knew how I'm working at this point, you'd know why I don't feel praiseworthy. Let me get back on script; then we'll see how I'm doing.
Oh, and I clipped my toenails the other day . Those must be Troutman's.

Awww. If only everyone had Jackie as their best friend.
And I know you work a lot and all, but JF is still an awesome webcomic, as are The Nolans, JoBeth!, and Tonja Steele. Thus, all of them should be promoted to Keenspot because they kick all the other comics asses right out of the water.

JoBeth can't go to KeenSpot, because as a comic, it's dead. BJ has said it's over.
Maybe the intro page should be changed, eh?
-Zodo, CI

Hmmm, I didn't get teary about the comic. I thought it was good, but I guess I expected nothing less from Jackie so it wasn't that standout. Cool, touching, 'rock solid friendship building material' certainly.
BJ, working off a script is by no means necessary to do good work. And the sort of professionalism your talking about doesn't necessarily produce good work. The work itself is speaking, and it's obviously speaking pretty loudly. You seem to be dancing pretty well with these personalities you've unleashed on us. Basically I'm saying chill out, we're all enjoying the ride, unplanned or planned, so let it flow naturally.
Oh, congrats on breaking out of the 'strip' format the other day.

I enjoyed the strip. But the way Jackie asked and reacted, I wondered how she would have responded if Ada had said no, or even if Ada had quit recently enough to know Jackie while she was still on coke.
I like to think that Jackie would still be supportive of her friend[1], but seeing how important that "no" answer seemed to be, I don't know.
[1] When I say supportive, I don't necessarily think she should be supportive of Ada lying to see her son, I mean in a be there for her kind of way.

Hmmm, your wonder has reminded me of something.
Ada's personality seems to have changed since she was introduced. She seems a little more centerd and calm. Anyone else noticed something like this?

Only she wouldn't have known what to do.
peter
