I saw this in a store the other day and thought it'd be a funny movie. Its a live action dragonball movie.

I also read somewhere about a Metroid movie being directed by John Woo

Anime movies... there's a scary thought.
Anime chars don't looks much like real people. That's in part why I guess they're so loved. No matter how beautiful Hollywood leading men and women are, they have a totally different from your typical anime character. Not to mention, when it comes to adaptations, everything becomes a tad slavish. The producers work way too hard to please the fand, who will never be pleased because they have their own vision of how their show/book looks in real life.

::shudders:: There are some anime characters that I can't see being played by real people.
Valar Morghulis - Michiko Monogatari & Tehuti
*nods* I have my own private list. I know I'm one of those fans who get mad at bad casting. Everything in adaptations looks a bit cheesier on the big screen. Too styled up and nostalgic.

I don't know if he could pull off Vash. He seems a bit too cynical and serious from his Malcom role. But maybe he can, I can't think of anyone better.ivstudios wrote:But thats part of the fun of going from one medium to another. And i hear tell they were thinking about casting that guy who playes the oldest brother on "Malcum in the Middle" as Vash. I think he would fit the part pretty well. They just need to do the hair right.

Francis? It sounds like your forgeting that they have an older brother who dosn't live in the house. Granted, I don't watch the show much, but Francis never seemed cinical to me at all. To me he seemed kinda goofy but still reasonably responsible. Just like Vash (Ok, so maybe he's not manic-depresive like Vash, but I think he could pull it off)
Hmmm... Francis as Vash? Well, it DEPENDS on your taste:

Fixed it. Geocities was being sadistic. It doesn't let me post links to my images now. Evil thing (>.<). The pagebuilder is great, but the regulations are torture.

Yes, that episode in particular was one I was worried they might mess up. I figure the "space ships crash landing on the planet gunsmoke" might make a good beginning, then they cut to the "present" (where most of the story takes place). And then reveal the rest of Rem and Vash's beckground throug flashbacks. It probly wouldn't be too hard, just as long as they don't screw it up by trying to go too indepth. Leaving it kind of ambiguous for most of the movie might work well.
What about the live-action Cutie Honey and Evangelion, the latter using the talent of Weta Workshops, of LotR fame?
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.
