tail in mouth

Post by Shyal_malkes »

I can't remember how many people suggested things would go this way.

feathers and all.

now I know TOTQ isn't based on the show 24...

...cause the main character is actually allowed to be happy!

(this is based on a joke my brothers made saying that the one rule in 24 was that Jack wasn't allowed to be happy and that there was a gunfight every episode)
I still say the doctor did it....

ROFLMTO!!!!

You know, if Quentin goes like this much longer his face is gonna freeze in that snicker.

But the bottom of the last panel 'Nomnomnomnom'?

Are we, and Quentin, missing the sounds of the next job approaching?

We really needed this. I came in in the middle of the stolen sword arc...I can just imagine what it must have been like for you old timers. If it had continued that way much longer, I probably would have left the comic. There is only so much you can dump on the major character before you have to have comic relief.

...and so on and so forth. Now that the stage has been cleared, we can finally lay this story arc (Lost Sword & Aftermath) to rest and move on. Maybe another "Meanwhile" mini story unrelated to Quen? I always liked that classroom arc, for example. Not to mention it's been a while since we last heard from the Missionary in the swamp.

All I hope is RH shows a stip of Quentyn meeting Rohan in the aftermath of being plucked clean of the feathers and half his fur. I could just see it.

Quentyn "Rohan, I like your new look, Who does your fur?" :D :D :D

Now maybe he'll have to remember not to let the rings go to his head, though Maradyth Kestral or even Nessie depending on which one you prefer.... might like a new necklass or something *winkwink, nudgenudge from the hopeless romathic)

After what he has been through I rather suspect that he is past his "sophomore swagger" for good. "Bumbling hero" is good at first, but if he doesn't learn then he finally ends up just looking stupid. Next major arc might be a little thing that leads to something big, like the Expansionist Conspiracy or Whatshisname's (Rosen?) laboratory. On the other hand, there can't be TOO many big conspiracies going on, or the Rac Connan Daimh are gonna start looking like the Illuminnati. Perhaps a connection between the two (although that would be a bit strange)? Anyway, Ralph has at least two rope-sized threads dangling.

One last bit of icing on the cake would a meeting between Rahan and Quentyn. Just to see Rahan start to bully Quentyn and then choke up, knowing he's lost his power over Q.

I don't think Rahan is going to be able to try too much bullying for a while. Knowing what used to happen to ME when I got in trouble, I think his father is going to take an extreme interest in Rahan's studies to be a tin smith.

Particularly the deep and profound mysteries surrounding the precise techniques of operating the forge bellows and shoveling hot clinkers (forge ash).

It's a beautiful thing when a problem solves itself...

It's even more beautiful when you get to watch it happen in real time. XD

That was a great way to end an explosive plotline! Now that the world knows who is truely chicken, maby Rahan would have to be a real featherhead to not stop peckin on him! :D

Who knows...maybe a hundred years from now, Quentyn and Rahan will be buddies, sharing a beer while reminiscing about the hijinks they had as kits.
I kinda doubt it, though...

Ralph has confirmed the Tinsmith's apprentice was someone else. Rahan's father is into iron and steel. But yeah, I can see him having to pay back the fines his family shelled out in sweat, every last copper bead.
