Post by Astral »

As our new forumer ringcaat pointed out, we have a lack of a propper intoductions thread. Thus, for your bemusement, I give you; The intro thread.

New forumers or just random fans of the comic can post their walk in statements here.

Thanks, Astral!

Okay, well! My name's Thorin. I'm a 25 year old guy who lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I'm part of the local science fiction and fantasy fandom community, through my parents. I like playing games, as well as inventing them, and in general I like thinking outside the box. I like philosophy, singing, and taking nighttime walks. I'm kind of on the fringe of furry fandom. I read a lot of webcomics and am planning to start my own soon. At present I'm cleaning houses as a part-time job and doing occasional work for a chess company. I'm also an aspiring writer.

Hi, CrazyJAM! Well, Draco, it's a company that runs chess clubs after school in about thirty schools in the Twin Cities suburbs. It also coaches at tournament, runs a chess league and summer chess "camps," and provides private lessons. Recently they started running big tournaments of their own, and they still call me back to run the software for them.

I am a computer geek and a huge fan of Tails of the Questor. I read the entier comic in two hours. I did start a comic, but due to lack of time, I most likely will not post it. If you can't tell by my avatar, I am also a big Megaman (or Rockman his real name) fan. My friends and I love to net battle with Megaman Battle Nettworks for GBA. I don't need to write this for anyone who can read but, I am a terible speller. Oh well. Later!

Good evening.

Yes, it stands for my RL initials. Then as I entered Internet Fandom, I had them mean "Jaguar Amorosamente Mexicano", "Lovingly Mexican Jaguar".

Guess I'm not so new now, but why teh hell not......
Just some 15 year old kid running around posting on forums. Who just happens to like online comic strips, gaming, warhammer(table top games), Techno, rock, anime, robots, electronics, renaissance fairs, swords, sharp pointy shiny things, computers, fire, art, occasionally drawing, boots(all about teh steal toe!!!), snow, staying up late, night time, winter, not being sick, food, and his high matabalism....Kinda starts out as mostly me, then dies down slowly as my mind depleated itself of things I like, that also discribe me...

Why the heck not...

Post by UncleMonty »

Okay, nothing to see here...

I'm fast approaching my 50th birthday, I work for ABC Broadcasting (sorta) and while I'm on 24 hour call I can't go anywhere or do anything so I sit here and annoy people online.

You've got me beat by a couple years, Uncle Monty. 47 and a burned-out high school science teacher. Trying to switch to something else right now.

Hi... Just joined the forum, but I'm a long time reader of Questor; it's currently my favorite comic strip. I've been lurking on the forums for a while now, and I thought I'd join. Anyway, I currently attend college, majoring in Computer Science, run a Secret of NIMH fan-page (though you might guess that from my screen-name/avatar :) ), and um... yeah, that'll do for now, I guess.

Anyway, props to RHJunior for doing this great comic! Keep up the good work!

It is in the movie, but not the book it's based on, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. They changed it in the movie to avoid a lawsuit from the people that make frisbees.

Hello

Post by Wayfarer »

A sometime lurker-when-I'm-procrastinating-on-homework, I finally decided to join the forum. After all, it means that I get to adopt a fun name :D ! Besides, though I will probably not post much (I must be good and self-controlled sometimes, after all), knowing that I could post if I wanted to can only add to the fun. I've been reading and greatly enjoying Tales of the Questor, Under the Lemon Tree, and Nip and Tuck since this January when a friend sabotaged me... er - I mean referred me to TotQ :) . I spent a good bit of (homework) time reading through from the beginnings of each, and I now check desperately for new ones each day.

So greetings. I'll be around, though you may not see much of me. Thought I'd start out, though, by posting a general hello.

Oh, and just for general information, I'm your typical bookworm/ fantasy-lover/ Narnian-among-Telmarines-and-Calormens/ college student. Though I still can't believe it, I am now 20. And I think that about covers everything for now.

OY!! Sue-happy Americans!

Anyway, I am American, but I Don't get why, like in Nip and Tuck, people sue for getting fat. Or why.........................................................................I don't understand people in general.

Oh well.

I really like Ralph though. I love how he always throws a curve ball that few suspect.

Hello Wayfarer, the one post wonder. Unless you're like me, that title will wear off soon. I'm curious though, how did everyone find this comic?

I found it at this limk.

Because people are lazy and want easy money.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.
