No, its Chedder or Swiss.

Chedder is better, but Swiss is Bliss.

But then, so is ignorance, isn't it... So, Swiss is Ignorance? ...well, damn, look at the holes...

Actually, I've not had the chance to try many cheeses. Until quite recently, I've restricted myself to the semi-hards: The chedders, mozzerellas, the america, the swiss...

I've since become more... open when I tried Brie. Say what you want about the French, they know their cheese.

Oh, then a friend gave me a good sized chunk of romano. He thought I would die from too much stimulation. I melted in bliss...

You realize, of course, that Voltaire will now track you down and do unspeakable things to you. :x
Not necesarily unpleasant things, just things we can't speak of in this forum.
And, for those who want a slightly decadent treat, try drinking a really sweet soft drink, alternating sips with a bite from a sharp cheddar.
The cheddar enhances the sweetness of the soft drink (I favor dr. pepper) while the soft drink enhances the cheddar. :P

Thank you for the report Shinichiro Ohta. :D

Ahhhhh....My epicurian compadres....Try THIS little taste treat.

Take chunks of Parmesan on a toothpick and dip them into a mix of 2 tspn black Balsamic vinegar and 1 tspn extra virgin olive oil. Or you can leave out the olive oil, and just use the Balsamic vinegar. An old family Sicilian introduced me to this.....I now share it with you.

Nibble on this along with a good wine....mmmmmmm....Magnifico!

Enjoy..

...that and I CAN drink a little wine, though I'm under 21... ...go being Jewish.

But the answer (42) only works if you are in base 13 (6x9=42).

Shalom y'all.....(Greetin's from southern Israel)

Allergic to alcohol? An actual allergy or just an extremely low threshold or tolerance for it? Is it to all forms or just grain types? If alcohol (isopropyl) is wiped on your skin, do you get a reaction or only if you take it (grain) internally? Don't mean to pry.....just the medic in me askin'.

It might be just a very low tolerance, or me reacting badly to it when first introduced as a young child and having that reaction ever since.

As for all types, the smell turns me completly off. So, I don't even test it.

S'no problem.

I've gotten used to saying its an allergic reaction. It might not even be. But it makes certain that my friends don't try to slip me anything stiffer than a ginger ale, in an attempt to get me to relax.

They mean well, and they do really want to help me, and I've a history of being... tense.

But I don't want or need that kind of help >.<

If you can find a deli. Real American cheese, not the processed cheese food or processed cheese food product, it is bliss when made into toasted cheese

*mouth waters* Yummm, also homemade mayo is the best.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Absolutely. The PC crowd claims Cholesterol Is Bad and they usually aren't even aware that it's a class of chemicals, not a single formula. Your body builds what it wants unless you starve it of raw materials (you can't absorb it directly into your bloodstream, the molecules are too big). The problem with starving yourself of the raw materials means that you're also starving your brain of the building blocks for neurotransmitters, which are... guess what class of chemicals?

Yep. Cholesterols.

So cutting back on cholesterol in your diet may or may not lower your blood cholesterol level - and it may also make you stupid. Personally, I think this explains at least some of the left wing folks... it definitely explains the extremist vegetarians.

It's good for you, makes your arteries slick greasy and helps the blood flow faster.
