And think of the climate down there... room closed off from the world for a long time.. sounds like it would be a bit nippy in there, and that's just not good feeling for open wounds.

Er, about that crystal...

Post by Skip Sanders »

Anyone else concerned that our Hero's head seems to have fallen just about under that still-active energizing crystal?

Great fight, powerful use of the prayer, if he never in his life did anything else, Quentyn IS a Questor, forevermore, now.

Loved this strip.

A bit unfortunate (or planned?) timing in that panel 6 quotes "Thou preparedst a table for me in the presence of mine enemies" just as a rat gets what looks to be a big bite out of our hero's ear.

Not sure if a pun was intended or if I've just been looking for puns elsewhere too long such that my brain is making strange connections.

Actually if it's a bit cold down there, that would help slow the blood flow from his wounds, as well as slow his metabolism just a bit. These factors could very well be conducive to his survival.

I caught that too - It felt like the sort of black humor you find in some military tales, but that could have been just my mind trying to make it fit. Excellent scene. A fighter with his mind set beyond his expected immediate death, to the future beyond that point.

I've long said "Death is a temporary inconvenience."

Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

"Life and death run so close and yet never do they meet"

How much you wanta bet that he wakes up into either a dream sequence near death or a nice clean bed?

Or would that just be too cliche?

I've got my money on him waking up in a hospital bed, though it remains to be seen whether Ralph would skip strate to that and have us filled in along with Quintyn as to happenings after he lost consienseness, or wether he'll actualy have a comic presseding the wake up scene.
