Star Trek Fans to hold Gala Celebration for the Show’s 40th Birthday
Whippany, NJ-August 1: The USS JUSTICE, a Classic “Star Trek” fan club and producer of “Tales of the Seventh Fleet” (TotSF), is proud to announce that they will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Star Trek on September 23rd. This event, held at the Morris County Library (http://www.mclib.info), will feature the premiere of the club’s latest Fan Episode, “A Touch of Home,” as well as the showcasing of the group’s other film efforts.
Cast and crew of “Tales of the Seventh Fleet,” mainly USS Justice club members, will be on hand to answer any and all questions relating to the series and fandom in general, as well as the future of Star Trek. Also scheduled to appear are CJ Henderson (author of “The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction Movies”), Alex Rosenzweig (one of the world’s leading Star Trek experts), Keith R.A. DeCandido (Author of several Star Trek novels) and Terri Osborne (Author of several Star Trek short stories and e-Books).
The celebration will be held from 10 AM to 4:30 PM at the Morris County Library, located at 30 East Hanover Avenue, Whippany, NJ 07981. Games and activities will be going on all day, including screenings of Original Series episodes and a Trivia contest. Sandwiches and snacks will be served, as well as a variety of beverages. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the first 40 years of Star Trek.
