Um, Hullo again.
I actually found Utukki at Akane.org (A friend of mine keeps telling me that I really should read Ranma 1/2) while I was searching, and being a researcher and mythology major, the history-base on this caught my eye...
Being an RPGer myself (I play a Gnome Illusionist in AD&D, and a female bounty-hunter/gunslinger in GURPS), the whole scenario really caught on with me, and I've been lovingly wasting translation-time of the Odyssey on it since...
...Well, you get the idea. Anyway, I love the new issues! But I've got to get back to the Oyssey, (May Homer rot in Hell. Amen.) as I have an exam on it tomorrow.
~ Min (Researcher at large. Cuneiform rules)

Hey there! I heard of Utukki through word of mouth, so to speak, when Tokkan posted the link on the Jar forums. Now I must spread the word as well. ^^
--Di

I cam from a link on "the jar" (http://www.montroseacademy.com/jar)'s message board when tokkan posted it up. High quality strip, it has definately made it into my regular rotation.

Oddly enough, I "found" it by following a link from my Stats page-apparently, someone dropped in on my site, and stayed a bit, after being "Here". Your first few strips have me intrigued, and I'll be reading regularly.

Barano Ibari dragged me in, kicking and screaming I might add... I'm a fanfictioner, so I'd heard of, and read, Hearts of Ice (what exists of it)during my cruising. I was an English major, but I'd concentrated pretty heavily on Ancient Religions and Mythology crap (I have many semesters in Latin, and the teach likes to give extra credit for researching ancient outside of the class' actual topic base. How do you think I actually passed the dang classes?)
Now I'm trapped, and I've been exploring the virtue of links... Blue Canary, RPG world... it's all starting to corrupt my world! And here I am, trying to read all the books I can get my paws on, write my masterwork, and game some Gurps, Rifts, D&D 1,2, and 3, Star Wars, Feng Shui, Deaadlands, etc... in my spare time... (Okay, I'm a Gamer. One of us evil creatures who blinks at you and says "That looked like a d4 of damage from that trip..." And to add insult to injury... My boyfriend's nicky is 'Van Hoose', you will know of him if you read Knights of The Dinner Table. I suggest it highly. A most excellent paper comic...) Err, I think it is the wee hours of the morning and the half bottle of wine that is corrupting my speaking, yes? For here I ramble about many things? Ne? Eh, let me go... I must try and adapt Highlander to the BESM system, or failing that, come up with a Dawnfire campaign to torture Barano with... :P
------------------

I came via Makenzie's Locker, or, to be more specific, the artist's Live Journal. I actually first heard about Utukki when Krista (whom I know by reputation through the FFML) posted to the Keenspace Mailing list.
Earlier tonight, for lack of anything better to do (I didn't feel like writing or drawing so I can get my webcomic up and running again) I went through the journal, saw the link and figured; "What the hell" =)
::Moves Utukki from the "to read" folder to the "Comics I read" folder::
Anyways. Love the art, story is good, though I confess I know next to nothing about the mythology. But you can bet that I am a regular reader.
-Steve "Komodo" T.

I'm addicted to Hearts of Ice. So of course I read Utukki. They're both cool.
