Aniversary of Fiddly Bits!

Post by Laxmastro »

Next week on the 12th, Godpoop and I will be celebrating the one year aniversary of Fiddly Bits! This fact alone blows my mind, because though this is not the first comic project i have worked on, this IS the first one to get off the ground, much less last for a whole year! And although we have had some difficulties lately getting strips posted on time, we are still going strong and neither of us see an end to Fiddly Bits.
Make sure you check out the site on Monday to see the first surprise we have for you guys. :D
Oh yeah, I almost forgot that on Sunday there will be a super-sized comic as a sort of pre aniversary gift from us!

That was cool. Have to say that I admire your artwork more then before, seeing how the characters actually look like the people theyre based on. Surprisingly enough so did Gwynn. Anyway, sorry didnt get back sooner. Have been busy with uni, NWN, and the fact that somebody drove into my passanger door at 70km/h. Fortunatly nobody was hurt.

Congrat-u-friggin'-lations, fellas! Ditto to what Sime had to say - beautiful work on copying the real people. Keep 'em coming!

I'm glad nobody was hurt as well, Sime.
And as for keeping the comics coming, we've already had a slip.
It's Tuesday and I still haven't gotten a script for Wednesday, so I've been working on a filler strip. If I can, I'm gonna try to keep some fillers handy for when we get behind so we don't miss an update.

Wow. You just reminded me that I'm approaching my one year date... though I've ended up sitting out five of the last twelve months. Oh well.

Congrats to Fid Bits!

And that live-action sequence was reeeeeeal interesting, guys!

No big interpretation here, just that it was interesting to see photo characters in the stead of the comics. Neat that you wrapped the actual in-house story at the same time, too. So, interesting good... fire bad.

Just curious, what do you consider to be 'too low a speed' to view fiddly bits? I'm running off dial-up from Australia, and am not having any problems, so I dont see what your complaining about(unless its no connection at all). I envy those with DSL, or the option of DSL. It simply isnt installed in our area.

I got DSL a month ago. Before that, I was subjected to the terrors of a dial-up modem. I never had a problem pulling up our page. Godpoop, on the otherhand.... He still has a dial-up with a measley 24k connection. His modem is 56k, but the phone lines on his side of town wont support it. He gets rather upset when I make fun of his connection. :D

I don't think that there is a minimum requirement for connection speed. I think that it's a matter of how much time someone wants to spend going through our "vast" archives. :P

Quick note to say how much I liked that paper mill lithograph you used as source for Sunday's strip.

I like those Victorian woodprint litho's. Even bought a tarot deck that used all Victorian era litho's for the imagery.

I had that speed of connection. Also, I'd like to see you try to use the Internet with a paranoid mom and a teenage sister... :P

Why did you censor the word shit? I thought you had the MA sign up for a reason?

"the word s**t."

Post by Laxmastro »

I would have replied earlier, but Godpoop told me he was going to and for the past few days I have been moving out of my house.
If you haven't noticed, we have been treating this storyline as a tv show on TLC. (trying to present it as it would be seen on a regular network.)
Thus, we censored the word s**t. :D
We have not gone soft. All of your favorite curse words will be seen and read again once we finish this little bit.

Yes. I was going to reply to the shit question, but Laxmastro must have thought I was taking too long. Anyway, for any of you who have been missing the coarse language that we usually put into the comic, I thought I would give you some....
SHIT, FUCK, PISS, CUNT, PUSSY, ASS BASTARD, BITCH, GOD DAMN, SON OF A BITCH, MOTHER FUCKER, COCK SUCKER,and STANK ON MY HANG DOWN (for posterity and jarrod). Sorry if I missed any. I'll think of some more to put in the strip when we're done with this story line. Thank you and good night.

Nice tribute to Blink 182 there Godpoop.

Where's today's comic? Its okay if its late... I guess if Lax is moving that is understandable.
