Shading, 1 November

At the risk of being nosey, how do you do the shading? I love the way you've done it in the 1 November strip.

Yeah, I was pleased with how it came out too.It's basically my own special brand of cross-hatching, which I then cut and paste into the required areas on computer. I used to do it by hand, but computering is quicker and looks better.I don't like to reveal too much about it... it's my one super-secret technique, and I flatter myself that someone might want to steal it (although it's not exactly <A HREF="http://www.choppingblock.org" TARGET=_blank>Chopping Block</A>).------------------
