Hi. Sorry I've been away so long: the ethernet connection in my room unfortunately conflicted with someone else's. I grab this on the sole occasion it's actually worked.
So, yes. I'm at Cambridge now, and it's interesting stuff. After the first, Freshers', week, in which I signed up to many societies (but not the comics one, which turned out to be rather anime-centric) and met literally more people than I've ever met in my life, I've started work. Good news: not every hour of my day is taken up by relentless study, so I do have time to draw. Bad news: I probably don't have time to go back to three a week. At least not in the current format (he mutters vaguely). And I'm likely to be rethinking various aspects of the strip, perhaps to the extent of starting up a whole new one, since I've suddenly found myself in so different an intellectual and emotional environment. (An image of a rollercoaster may help you here. One of the noisy wooden ones.) But I'll see.
Other things to note: I may not be here as often as I used to, as my college gets charged for all the international traffic it generates; if I spend too long using the network for 'frivolous purposes' (genuine quote) they may get annoyed. I will, though, tax them for occasional visits (and comic uploads, natch). And my new e-mail address is jr330[AT]cam.ac.uk; if you've sent anything important to the old address in the last couple of weeks, you may want to send it again. (But no fan-art or big files, please; tell me by e-mail, then post it here.)
I live! (And I also hunger, as it happens.)

I wish you success, and hope that your hunger issue has been resolved. I wondered what exactly you were saying with that, but you did not touch that beyond the thread topic...JimRob wrote:So, yes. We look forward to an interesting future as your audience.

Hey, don't go changing just to blend in. In an environment like a noisy wooden rollercoaster, your AF gondola-ride will be a very welcome change of pace.JimRob wrote:And I'm likely to be rethinking various aspects of the strip, perhaps to the extent of starting up a whole new one, since I've suddenly found myself in so different an intellectual and emotional environment. Seriously, don't undervalue what you've achieved so far. AF is a genuinely beautiful piece of work.

I agree, and yet I also think it's important to not be afraid to experiment. Working that way myself. Should be done in maybe three months.
