Can someone fill me in as to what the badge means? Apparently it's some liberation force, but exactly what?

And Gene, you HAVE to fix the template for your archive pages, I kept getting an error every time I looked at one!

I've looked at my archive pages, they seem to
work okay! Did you mean my own archive setup
or the calendar function that Keenspot
provides? That one does seem to give errors
from time to time. If you *do* mean my own
archive pages, what type of error are you
receiving?
The first thing I did when I read the words "Liberation Forces" was to go back in the archive and check that scene with Bev again. I love how previously overlooked bits and pieces in this story reveal themselves, and I look forward to more info on both the original history of the badge and what it means in the present day of this story.
...and I can imagine Gene saying to us in Sherlock Holmes fashion "All will be revealed"
