Well... maybe, after seeing everthing that's
going to happen to him *in* the strip, you
might forgive him. (Emphasis on "might"!)

Wait, don't eat him! He was a friend of kine, or so I thought. Maybe I can do something to help!

Go carefully, Bill. I don't like to think bad of anyone, but I think Bob's a bit of a Pennywise.

Pennywise n. (Slang) Individual whose outward buffoonishness conceals the fact that he/she/other is a really nasty bit of work. After S. King's human-eating clown. Austell Pocket English Dictionary (5th vol.)

I agree with Bill! We shouldn't jump into conclusions about Bob... He've seen few about him, we don't know what is his sincere opinion about this... He might be a good fur and be just oriented to act this way. (Yes, this does happen.)

You may be right. Perhaps the thrill of power from my new dictionary undermined my judgement. Bob needn't be willfully malevolent - like as not, he's just overexcited, carried along by what he imagines to be popular sentiment.

Even so, Bill had better watch his back. I've heard rumours. Bob may not be a hardcore villain, but he might know someone who is...

Judging by the way he varies his appearance, I'd say you'd need to cover up the taste of feather-gel too.

Yuuuuck! You'll have to use very strong seasoning for that! Look for something Japanese, they're good with that.

I don't know Bob's species, but is he edible to mongooses? After Friday's strip, I'd be glad to invite him to...dinner.

Well, I *did* sort of try to let the readers
know that Bob wasn't exactly what he seemed
to be. But (as with the loud little ursine)
the gears of Fate are the worst thing to get one's tail caught in - they keep on turning,
no matter what...

One of my e-mail-only readers had the same
line of thinking, only he suggested that the
acrimonious avian would make good "Hot
O-Links". And I can barely believe I just
typed that... <=)

...yikes... O_O It is written in the Book of
Stuff You Really Are Better Off Knowing,
"Thou shalt be reeeeeealy sorry if thou dost
tick off a skilled wielder of anime weapons!"

All I will say is, Mr. O'Link will find out
what kind of a price tag such cold-hearted
ambition carries with it...
