I can't really think of a valid and awesome starter topic, but have you ever had this thought.
You know how we've got the SETI program, right? Well what if there is an alien race with a VERY similar program with the same technology?
Kinda cool to think about huh?

Reminds me of that Ronald Searle cat-cartoon "Anybody There?" showing a cross-section of a building full of rooms, all different styles and furnishings but no windows or doors, and in each room a single troubled cat desperately pressing an ear to the wall.
