How *did* she get out?

Another theory:
she was able to figure out the workings of the lock (and since the person who made the lock isn't around, this implies
something about her abilities,) and was simply able to undo it using equipment to hand in a normal fashion (or, as suggested, telekinetically. I suspect Cotton doesn't know, on the one hand, exactly what abilities he possesses; and I suspect, on the other, that Premier Tavatiana does not necessarily have the same powers as Cotton anyhow...)
