comixpress FTW. I have my stuff up there as well. If you got colored covers be careful with them. Don't leave them on rubbery surfaces cuz they can stick to the cover and leave marks. I left an eraser on my books overnight and the next morning when I peeled the eraser off it left its outline. I've already told comixpress about this and they're were surprised about it. Unfortunately there's not much they can do. But I still think they're great.

huh...I did run in to that rubber thing. but one of those bendy line drawing things on it and it kinda peeled. Huh...but I have had erasers stick to printed things before. Just so long as the print doesn't stick to other books.

Re: Getting Published!
Yea. I was thinking of somehow sticking some sort of thin, plastic layer on my covers to protect them... I guess laminating would be the right word? Problem is, idk how I'd do it or who could do it for me and if it would be too time/$ consuming. I already don't get enough profit from selling each book and I don't even sell many anyways.MixedMyth wrote:huh...I did run in to that rubber thing. but one of those bendy line drawing things on it and it kinda peeled. Actually, a lot of craft stores sell these stick backed laminating sheets. You just peel off the paper and slap 'em on.

Congrats, MM! Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your work in print.
Speaking of which, I need to brag. On Saturday is a local convention, and I have a table, so I thought I'd go ahead and print up a few dozen issues of some of my comics to lay out. Today, I figured out that if I print them at my school, I can get them done for twelve cents per issue. It's all black and white, with cheap paper, but twelve cents for a twenty-page comic? Not too shabby. I'll get my entire con run done for under ten bucks! WOOOOOO! I hope I can sell them. I might actually be able to pay for my table this year.

Congratulations on going print. I intend to some day, but old work needs major redrawing before I'd feel confident asking people to shell out cash for it.

Nice! Way to go MM there's nothing quite like having your very own book in you hands.
Damn that's good - I can't complain about paying $8 a copy to print my book but damn I've got to find a cheap way to make some comic books for Supanova in November.Bustertheclown wrote: Speaking of which, I need to brag. Fantastic news! It's always nice to hear of people managing to make that move from screen to book. I like books!
Well done!
