How am I not involved in a death match? I train to kill people for a living. I foresee this more as a Champion of Pointless Posts type thing. A challenge for McDuff's crown, as it were. I could be wrong, I often am when it comes to figuring out Duff.

McDuffies enters the tournament as the heavy favorite. This titan of messageboarding is one of the most versatile players around, combining a strong game under the boards with a remarkable outside threat. But it might not be enough to get past CaptainClaude, who is insane.

It seems McDuffies got a little overconfident, punting his opening move with a dismissive comment regarding a former Saved By the Bell cast member, coming away with only a field goal. CaptainClaude, recognized as captain by no official agency I've heard of, appears to fair better, dropping a lovely image of purple doom-filled Christmas. But while very impressive looking, in effect it is a mere image dump, and as they say in KeenMadness, a 360° dunk from the free-throw line may look pretty but it's still only worth two points.

I'm going to push this back a couple weeks. There are now two things running (March Madness and the 2010 Invitational) and I'm getting a root canal wednesday and family is coming into town when the contest was scheduled to end.

I'll probably release the contest after the first weekend in april.

Meantime, anyone who wants to suggest rules or mention if they'd like to participate, please do so.

I don't think you should stop surfing the internet all together. I just think people should get some friends around their own age.

Isn't that a bit limiting? What if you relate best to people older or younger than you? What if what you enjoy most out of life happens to attract people of a different age range? Why should your age determine who you are, what you do, what you like, who you hang with? And where was the rulebook written, by whom?

RKolter has been a force in the league for decades. But CJBurgandy is a super-cute lesbian. There's no telling how this one will pan out.

Kolter seems intimidated, folks (and who wouldn't be?), backing off immediately and making all sorts of excuses. Not the kind of play we expect in a champion. CJ, on the other hand, seems brimming with confidence, riding on a post from months ago. What swagger. CJ drives it home with a 360° dunk from the free-throw line, cutting up the defense with biting precision, showing that Burgandy is not one to be trifled with.

A couple of seasoned veterans whose better days may be behind them. However neither TheSuburbanLetdown nor NoiseMonkey can be afforded to be taken lightly.

TheSuburbanLetdown takes the flattery route with a slapshot straight at the judges head. NoiseMonkey on the other hand seems befuddled at the very existence of his opponent, working out out loud the proper pronunciation of the preferred nomenclature of his kind, as Sublet slips one past the goalie.
