2k9 Xmas Gift Guessing
Hi!
So, has anyone been trying to guess what their presents are going to be this year? Or maybe you already bought yourself something. Or at least, you're wishing for something?
I'm not sure what I'm going to get, as my girlfriend will be the only one giving me presents this year and she hasn't told me anything, not even a hint. Her on the other hand, has been able to guess all her presents from me. She can read me like a book! It's crazy.
There's a lot of things I wish I'd get for Xmas though. A Wii, Pokemon Battle Revolution, New Super Mario Bros Game for the Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Pokemon Colloseum, Pokemon Channel, Nintendo 64 Special Pikachu Edition, Pokemon Stadium 2, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 days and a Nintendo DSi for my brother.
I have bought something for me last night. I was able to get a smashing deal on Pokemon Stadium.
But enough about my greediness. Your turn to speak.

The wife and I pretty much agreed on no presents, so we can instead pay bills.
And I already got her a 3-legged puppy, to match our other 3-legged animals.

Congratulations on your decision then. I don't blame you at all. Being able to spend Xmas with a roof on your head beats any present.Warren wrote:The wife and I pretty much agreed on no presents, so we can instead pay bills.

How many more 3-legged animals do you have? This could totally be turned into a comic.

We now have 2 tripod dogs (Hoot, Trinity) and a tripod cat (Dr. Scholls).
And two other dogs, both 4-leggers.

I hate it when the surprise is spoiled.

yeah Xmas is gonna be tight at the Phact0rri household this year as well. its sad but I'm gonna be pushing it even to be getting xmas cards out to family and friends this year. Moved across the country about six months back so i'm still getting all my financial stuff in line. Sucks too cause I love giving presents to my friends and family.

Dentists aren't very nice people.
Why else would they be dentists?

Re: 2k9 Xmas Gift Guessing
I hate knowing what I'm getting. I have never in my life gone searching for presents, and I won't shake a present if I happen to find one early. Just seems to take all the fun out of xmas morning.
Our apartment isn't all that big, so I had the manho pick a spot in which to hide his presents, so I wouldn't inadvertently stumble onto them.
Budget's tight on this end too - had a computer die, and then a cat get sick (cat almost as expensive as the new computer, believe it or not
I love my kitty but jesus gawd).
On that note I have no idea what to get for my dad.
He's going someplace warm and vacation-y with his girlfriend for xmas, my brothers and I are trying to choose something to get him but have no idea what. He's worked for OPG for 25+ years at this point and has more money than he knows what to do with, so it has to be something he just normally would not buy.
I was thinking hawaiian print shirts and stupid tshirts and hilarious touristy things that will make him laugh.
Beyond that I have no idea.

I'll be getting a dvd player, since my PS2 died on me recently. Well, actually, I kinda killed it. Also, G.I. Joe toys.

Re: 2k9 Xmas Gift Guessing
My family has a simple rule - if you guess what you are getting, you do not get it.
It only takes guessing right one time and having one gift spoiled to never guess again. I don't like to know what I'm getting.
This year tho, Beth and I aren't getting each other anything. We're buying gifts for Tristan. Don't know why we bother tho, true to form he enjoyed the gift wrapping lots more than the toy on the gift he's gotten so far (had an early xmas at the inlaws).

The only gift I'm really hoping for is a new motherboard for my computer. And booze. Lots of booze.
