Yeah, your cartoon is probably already listed, it just has to compete with everything else so you may have to dig to find it. It helps if your comic's name is as unique as mine is, though you do get the irritating message asking you if you've mispelled a more popular search item.

If you want search engines to have an easier time finding you, you can ad Description and Keyword meta tags to your home page.

Also, your sig grossly exceeds CG limitations.
You'll either need to remove two of the banners or make each of them smaller. Look at mcDuffies sig - he's advertising six different sites, has an additional image and has a quote - all in about one sixth of the space you are using.
