yeah so I'm really hoping we're going to get a darker theme in here or I'm pretty sure an assload of people are going to be visiting a lot less

and can we get the individual comics forums collapsed again? it hurts my processor to load.

I suspect they're already planning a new theme that fits the site better than this one.

The scrolling that occurs with some of the images posted is kind of annoying... =/

What he said. The index currently lags when loading, even on broadband.

Since this seems to be the "it's new, let's complain" thread, is it possible to move the avatars and all that to the left of the posts? Having them on the right makes for bad "reading" of who posted, what with us reading left to right...

On the praise side, the "save/load draft" option is pretty neat, and the User Control Panel is much improved. Also, I'm oddly amused by the (seemingly useless) index listing of bots browsing the forum.

This isn't a new theme. This is a temporary and default theme being used whilst volunteers slave tirelessly on adapting the old theme to the new forum.

It just proves that you can start a queue anywhere, and people will line up. =P

So I've done the quick change of moving the profiles over to the left-hand side, I've also taken out the online banner. As far as color changes go, it's being worked on. I've also requested comic forums be folded, so hopefully that'll happen soon.

I'm working on trying to hide the comic forums somewhat, but I've got to get to work soon.

looked around for an option to do but no go. I could see em fine in the beta board.

Yeah, I can't see my posts or any after them unless it's in the preview window. Weird bug.

Anyway, I moved all the comic forums into one category. It still displays them all on the front page, but it cuts down on loading time. It's not perfect, but is it a good fix for now, guys?

When Keenspot re-themed their forums to be green, they were lurid and eye-straining.* There was a fifty page thread about people complaining (and the graphic designer shouting back at them).

They've since been toned down and the last time I searched for the thread it had vanished somehow.

There does seem to be some bug - the thread says 17 posts, but I only see 14 - and it's not the last 3 that are missing; it's random. All 17 show up in the "topic review" window when I'm previewing this post. Weird.

I'm gonna miss subsilver, but hey! Shiny newness!

If you hit "Reply", find your post, and then click "Post Details" in the preview window, there's an edit button. Unless that's just a moderator thing; I haven't tried it outside of OT.
