do you think it would be so bad to use the same characters for 2 webcomics? but it would only be like 2 not a whole cast

if the two comics exist with in the same world, no.

Why not, John Allison did it so it must be right.

Osamu Tezuka had a number of signature characters that appeared in several of his comics, playing different roles. It was sort of an in-joke between him and his regular readers.

Just regard the characters as actors. They play their part in comic A, then go on to play a different part in comic B. (Or the same type of part, if they're being typecast...)

Why not? You already know how to write and draw the characters; it would seem easier to work with characters you're familiar with then to come up with new ones.

Don't bother. The MoRC has been tailing reuse infringements for decades, and after the recent budget slash, they're bound to be doing just that for a few decades more.

I'm pretty sure Wolverine appears in more than one comic book every month.

Pretty soon Mindmistress will be appearing in two webcomics---and so will several other characters. (Not mine.)---Al

One of my characters appeared in another webcomic for a brief period. It was non-canonical though

David Willis did Shortpacked, and brought both Robin (bless him!) and Mike over from It's Walky!

... and I shall be the first to admit that some characters tend to be reused pretty often in many different comics...
