I just read Mark Millars Youngblood bloodsport #1.I had so much fun reading it,it got me to thinking about other good comic stories that were never finished. Like 1963 by Alan Moore Im still holding out hope for that one because that was as close we will ever see Alan Moore writing marvel characters. What are some of your favorites?

Everything from Crossgen. The company went under and rushed the endings to all their titles. I think if they took the time to complete each series, they would have been great.

Yeah, CrossGen was a disappointing failure. I really liked their stuff. They came about right about when I had a rather incredible disposable income. I have every issue of every title published for the first year and a half.

Steampunk by Bachalo and Joe Kelly, which left us hanging at the end of the second act. And of course, Battle Chasers by Joe Mad. Damn him, yet I still love him like an abused spouse.

Battle Chasers seconded...

My nomination would be Scud: The Disposable Assasin. Damn that was a good read and a great premise. If you can find a copy, hang on to it.

The good news is that according to Scud's Wiki page the author is going to produce a final chapter to finish the story off. Here's hopin'....

I'm further pissed off that I had to learn about it second-hand from a freakin' Wikipedia article.

And c'mon, Marvel . . . killing off the handicapped character? What're you gonna do for an encore? Have Lockjaw sire some puppies just so you can tie them up in a bag and toss them in the nearest river? Image

Agreed! She should be free and have her own series.

Her own sexy, sexy series.

Prodigy can suck it. About the only decent thing he's ever done is fight against the registration act, and he couldn't even do that right. Image

But yah, Ricochet is pretty durn cool, even for a Spidey clone and filthy mutie. Good to know he's still finding work.

heh heh . . . "hopping around" . . .

I have to tell you, I HATE it when a comic ends without a conclusion, and when one does, it generally drops VERY low on my list of "good comics". It's akin to being spit on by a camel. Do you remember petting and feeding the nice camel, or that it spit all over you?

There isn't an unfinished comic that falls even into my top twenty comics.

As an art whore, I pretty much only care about Battlechasers 'cause of Joe Mad's art. He could've been drawing the phone book and I would've bought it until he quit (sometime in the Af's, I'd think)

Ha ha... yeah he supposedly started it in January. Currently its going to be a four part mini starting in February 2008. But eh... he's said stuff like this before. I won't believe it til it happens.

I'd agree on Slingers but Marvel is dead to me anyway.

And the Tick? Sure. But man, if there was any series I would ressurect, it would be The Chainsaw Vigilante's series.

A hawt zombie.

And actually . . . they never did determine exactly what she was, did they? She could be something else a little less, y'know, rotting and gooey inside without the desire for human flesh.

I'll certainly admit that he added just the right dickish balance to the Slingers team, and because of that I was just as sad to see him go as the rest of the team when the comic was canceled. But on an individual basis, he's total weaksauce in my eyes.
Sortelli wrote:I'd agree on Slingers but Marvel is dead to me anyway.
The cancellation of Slingers was one of the biggest betrayals ever, and it was probably one of the biggest contributing factors to me not reading anything else Marvel up until the Civil War. The second I saw their "Sorry folks, we're closing up shop here!" message, I actually yelled "YOU BASTARDS, I WAS READING THAT!!!"

I don't guess they heard me, tho'.
